first of all whenevr you speak with callcenter try to get conversation number which you can pass to any recovery agent that might vist..and also helpfull as proof..
and since it's mistake on their side try to get notification evry time check is cleared from their side
and last thing write a written compliant abt this incident (even though case is solved) to bank manager just for future

8 days after geting my Adventure,
I got call from Kotak Mahindra (my financer), then they have lost the whole agreement and cheques of the loan agreement, so plz do the stop payments of old cheques and issue us a fresh cheque.
I was furious as my RC was stuck bcz of this only.
Anyhow i signed the fresh agreement and issued fresh cheques, but before that i took a letter from Kotak on their letterhead stating that they have lost my loan agreement and PDCs, including my name, my bank account details, my cheques details. I also took in written that no action in future of any sort will be taken against me.
Apart from that whatever cost will occur of stopping the older cheque payments, will be beared by Kotak only.
I also took this thing on their official mail from their regioanal manager for car loans.
So i think its safer to have everything on written.

This is slightly off-topic, but i felt it is in place to narrate my pleasant experience with the RBI banking ombudsman, Bangalore. It might be of help to people hesitant about approaching the ombudsman in order to get banking disputes resolved.

An inward remittance of about 1 lac handled by ICICI Bank, to be deposited in UTI Bank, never made it. Well, at least not for about 10 months. During this time i tried to escalate this to ICICI and UTI bank authorities in a number of ways, but they always told me off by requesting something from the other bank. About 35 long emails were wasted on this already.

Finally, i approached the banking ombudsman. I wasn't very sure whether this would be of any help; it was like a last ditch effort. The ombudsman heard me out during a one-on-one meet at his office in the RBI Bangalore HO, enlisted the requisite documents and assured me that this will only take a stern telephonic rap from him!

And lo... in a matter of 2 weeks or so, the money reflected in my account, interest and penalty inclusive, and was followed up by an apology letter from ICICI (it seemed like ICICI was not at fault, UTI was, but i had no inclination left to probe that).

From the moment i met the banking ombudsman, i was quite confident that my job would be done.

Congratulations Supersom. In case my case here http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/indian...ndra-help.html doesnt work out, Ombudsman seems like the way to go.
