You still need to reduce the IDV, Minimum by 10% from last year. Please search for other insurance companies there is a place for discount if the claim is less then Rs.10,000/-

What do you guys think of this year's quote?
Any room for discounts?
Try HDFC ERGO! I got 30%discount apart from my NCB.
may be you will not have the NCB , but the 30% discount is possible!

As per my knowledge,
Tata-AIG insurance service is very good in car insurance services as they provide you cashless claim facility & their consultants also provides each & every detalis of their different policies.

How is HDFC ERGO for new car (Tata Car) insurance? Do any members have feedback on its services and cashless claims?

IDV - 3,60,645
Premium - 14,080

IDV - 3,30,000
Premium - 9385

Got a call from one of the agents. The details are as above. The agent says that depending on what IDV I want, the premium will be as above. The agent also says that I can have the IDV for my car upto a max of 4,10,000.
I am confused. How is this possible? Is this allowed and legal?

I would like to say that I have taken HDFC ergo insurance for my 2 cars and the quote which I got from them is the lowest which is unmatched. For example, I am buying a Toyota Altis diesel.
I have got a quote of Rs. 17800 as premium with
idv 1203270 premium rs 17800
Note- this is a direct deal with the company with no middle man or agent involved in this transaction

Confused between Chola and Royal Sundaram

I have got a quote from Cholamandalam Insurance for my Fiesta Insurance renewal through the Ford Dealer in Thane. They have quoted a premium of RS 12869 for an IDV of 573750. The dealer has a cashless tie up with Chola. How good is the Insurance Co as far as claims settlement is concerned and how about their customer support.

I also got an online quote from Royal Sundaram for an IDV of 665950 a premium of 11611/-. How is Royal Sundaram claims settlement history? I got a confirmation from them about cashless settlement for Ford vehicles anywhere in India however the Thane Ford dealer is not acknowledging the same.

Confused what to do and who to go for?

I have to agree. HDFC Ergo is getting very aggressive with their quotes. I recently renewed the insurance policy of one of my cars with them, and the quote was 15% cheaper than the next best. Lets hope their customer service is as good. Will update (though hopefully, I don't have to claim ).

Can someone suggest a better car insurance company ?

Hi Guys,

These insurance companies are after me and keep calling and providing quotes, my renewal is due next month. Have got quotes from both Baja Alianz and Reliance.ICICI Lombard i checked on website, Earlier had with united india assurance got it free from dealer
Last year IDV was 5.44L, this year got these quotes

Bajaj Alainz IDV - 4.90L , premium - 10,295
Reliance IDV - 5.15 , premium - 9,972
ICICI Lombard IDV - 4.0L, premium - 10,350

Should I give preference to someone who provides a bettter IDV, thou premium may be on the higher side.

Which one do you suggest apart from these above, any other company which provided good quotes with some relaible service.

My car's insurance is coming up for renewal. The quotes are as follows for IDV of 5,00,000 INR:

1. HDFC Ergo : 12472/-
2. Tata AIG : 12900/-
3. Bajaj Allianz : 10900/-

I am going with Bajaj Allianz, which has quoted 25% NCB + 50% coverage on plastic parts + 2 lacs insurance + free towage + free one night stay.

Lucky you!! I have posting my name on number on the websites of 4 or 5 insurance companies, and nobody is calling me to discuss anything since one week! Ultimately I made some calls but the replies to my doubts about policy wordings were not very satisfactory. Two companies promised to contact me via agents and then forgot all about me.

Regarding IDV it is compulsory 5% off ex-showroom according to IRDA. I think they are trying to fleece customers by quoting lower IDV.

Guys

Should I go for additional cover like "zero depreciation" ? What does it cover? What about additional cover for electricals once I add a stereo. Is the extra premium worth it considering that the market value determined and insured/refunded for a stolen stereo is usually very poor?

Thanks
