Palio got scraped by bike. Can i claim insurance?

Hi guys,
A couple of days ago when i was in Baroda, our lovely Palio 1.6 GTX got hit by a bike and the damage is really quite bad.
The bike was wrecked (My driver tells me that) and the riders badly injured.
Infact one of them flew over the roof and landed on her bonnet and damaged that too.
Have a look at the pics and tell me if i can claim insurance.
The driver did not take down the bike number nor took them to the hospital which pissed me off.
He also did not file a complaint.
Will post pics later as it is taking just too long.

So your priority is the state of your car and not the people the car hit. Interesting...

Well my driver was going down hill on kemps corner from Hanging Gardens and a bike had lost control and came and whacked the car.
The rear tail light is broken, there is a dent from the tail light to the rear left door and the paint has come off at a few places there.
The front left door has a huge dent from where the some part of the bike hit it and there is a dent where the pillion rider hit it.

Check up with u r agent what your no-claim bonus amount is...if its less than the cost of the repairs then get an insurance claim or else its not worth it. And i am sure it can be done without all the police hassel and bike number ... u r insurance agent will be able to help u out best.

if the biker hit from the rear ,then how did your front door get damaged.?????

From this i can make out that the Rider was not alone and had a pillion along. So the Rider must have hit the left front door and the pillion must have landed on the roof due to the impact(sudden stop).

Just my thought though.....

There were two riders.
When the bike hit the driver fell somewhere, the pillion fell on the bonnet, the bikes foothold or somepart sticking out hit my front door when it fell on its side.
Why is imageshack taking so long?

Photo 1 -

photo 2

In the second photo, the paint has come off near the cracked tail light and the where the dent meets the door.
Will post others later.

Note from Mod: Lambo, you have been around long enough to know that pictures have to be linked as thumbnails. Also the pictures you posted were 1.7 MB each, took me 4 minutes or so on broadband. Please make sure that you use thumbnails and small sized pics next time.

Lambo ,

this is precisley what gets the moderators goat !!

i mean you can easily call up your insuarance agent and ask him the same question,. infact he will be in a better position than all of us here to answer your query.

and im not being rude here, just trying to drill some sense of deciding what to ask and what not !

and reduce the size of the image ...no one on dial up will be able to see the pic before 5 mins atleast.

cheers
