Thanks for the clarification. Will definitely visit the dealer.

Different policy numbers assigned to dealers and individuals is new to me.

Does this also happen with 4 wheeler insurance ? Wondering !

I guess so. I was responding to one of the members who had a different policy number from Royal Sundaram as it was taken from the dealer than the general RS policy nos which is issued to the individuals. Let me get some more clarity on this.

Re: Two wheeler insurance - to buy

Sorry for initiating a post on a long-forgotten thread.

Mods are requested to push to the proper thread.

I plan to buy a bike soon and will go for zero-dep insurance. However, the KTM sales advisor in Bangalore said they are not providing zero-dep insurance. Instead, they provide bumper-to-bumper cover, OR I can opt for insurance of my choice from outside.

I seek your advice on two things:

1. Which company has a better two-wheeler plan - maximum IDV value and sound settlement track (predominantly in Bangalore)?
2. Since I do not have a registration number (still planning), can I book zero-dep insurance without the registration number? If not, can I do it during the time of delivery or a few hours before the delivery?

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

I am not sure whether I have asked the above question in the right thread. If not, I would request MODs to move it to the right thread.

Thank you
