Now, that is one butch looking SUV. The new design front should give it massive road presence and the interior is also a major leap from the current version.

I highly doubt this is the new Endy. Ford has too many SUVs to confuse as the Endy replacement. The Asian model Everest is the one we will get, whenever it's updated

What i would like to see is a much aggressive/looker Ford Explorer rather than Endeavour.

Nope, @Sahil. This IS the next gen Endeavour if and when it comes.
The present gen Everest/Endeavour is based on the Ford Ranger(international)/Mazda BT-50.
Now that the new Ranger is launched ,expect the new Everest/Endeavour to be based on this.
This is at present the most compact proper SUV that Ford offers/is going to offer (after the Explorer has moved to full size crossovers from mid size SUV).

Hope they put in coil springs at the back instead of the leafspring suspension of the current Endy. They also need to redesign the floor to have better middle/Third row seating.

Ford explorer looks brilliant. The rear does look very much like the Merc MB series. Neat shape though. Remember reading a thread on this from sidindica some time back.
@mustang101, any idea if explorer is headed east? do they sell it it any other market other than US like Thailand/Philippines etc?

If I am not mistaken, isnt the new Ranger shown above completely new?

Explorer won't make it here anytime soon. Explorer is sold in north america only and i guess it is exported to some countries, probably japan(?)

This is the all new endeavour and is a new generation model. Like i said before we won't get the pick up truck version but we will get the 7 seater version.

Is this a looker or what, this is what Ford needed to take the fight to Toyota's door.
The interiors look more modern than even the Fortuner. and as pointed out before, it is highly likely to have a leaf spring setup at the rear. Looking forward to this BIG BAD SUV from Ford.

I went through the US website of ford explorer. The approach and departure angles are 21.7 and 21.7. Pretty low. Also GC of 190mm.

The present Explorer is a crossover and not an SUV as it once was,whatever Ford wants to make us believe.

Guys please lets just keep this thread limited to the endeavour and not make it an explorer thread.

We can create a new explorer thread if you like.

I read in the Focus thread that the Focus will be Ford's only launch next year. So has that plan been changed or will we be getting the Endeavour only during 2013?

Focus will be the only "New" model launch. By New model i mean, one that India has never had.

Endeavour will also be launched by next year.
