The car seems much bigger than an alto and im wondering whether they would be able to price in that region. Definitely will be a style upgrade for most buyers in the 800 cc car segment.
No bro, I think you misunderstood me I was trying to say that the webite was wrong, it wouldn't be the H800 as its too big to be positioned below the Santro. I was saying that the car that was once thought to be the H800 is actually the Hyundai i15, which would be positioned between the i10 and i20.

Re: Hyundai i15 (or Next Gen i10)

The car spotted in Brazil is NOT the H 800, but a South-America ONLY model from Hyundai to compete with Fiat and VW. The H 800 is much smaller and narrower.

Exactly, the car pictured in my previous posts is indeed the i15 only and not the H800. The i15 looks pretty good in my opinion. Would do well, if priced well. I for one would go for it if it has a good CRDi engine and is priced a lakh cheaper than the i20.

Re: Hyundai i15 (or Next Gen i10)

With Hyundai India planning to launch more models across segments (refer ET report - Hyundai India to launch new models across segments - The Economic Times) I am of the opinion that this car (i15) may actually be planned for India in 2013.

Re: Hyundai i15 (or Next Gen i10)

Hi all

Motoroids has reported a fresh sighting of the Hyundai i15/ HB in Brazil. please refer link

Fresh spy pictures: Hyundai i15 or HB

One thing is sure there are better cars for & more fuel options for enthusiasts in Brazil than in India. Probably because the Govt. of India wants the Indians to focus on cramped small cars only, rather than providing level play-field to manufacturers with bigger cars .

Cool spy pictures. And these pictures further consolidate that the pictures I had earlier posted are indeed the i15. It looks really good. If priced slightly above the Figo, I would be in the que for the i15

Re: Hyundai i15 (or Next Gen i10)

Here is the report on H800, the smallest Hyundai car, which is expected to be launched in Nov-11 (as per ICB... too early I guess):

Hyundai India to launch small car by November 2011 | IndianCarsBikes.in

This one is quite different from i15 that is undergoing testing in Brazil. Hope this clears the confusion, if any still remaining, between the H800 & i15.

Its is actually a rendering of the spy pictures of the Hyundai i15. Since the Hyundai i15 model plans were unheard of at that time, websites associated the spy pictures of the i15 with that of the H800!

Here we go! Interior spy shots of the Hyundai i15!! Source - motoroids.com

Hyundai i15 (or Next Gen i10)-hyundaihb.jpg
I think the interiors look even better than the i20! The steering resembles the steering on the new Sonata / i45 and the Elantra/ Avante! So would this be more expensive than the i20? As the i20 and the Verna now share their steering wheels?

Re: Hyundai i15 (or Next Gen i10)

I dont think this car is going to be an alto competitor! It is just too big and far more stylish than the i10! I think the initial impression that this might be a i10 replacement might me true. Or hyundai could stop the santro, position the i10 just a little lower, in Zen estilo's territory and price this bang opposite to the new swift.
