Motorbeam scooped a Polo w/ a new bluetooth enabled stereo system and steering mounted audio controls. It had steering mounted power window switches too, they claim.

The car also has parking sensors which will probably have a display on the stereo itself.

Nice ! The Vento and Polo headunit is indeed very dated. This addition will urge people to opt for the highline model.

Looks like the same system as in the Laura.

Ah. Thats sweet!. If they give us the 1.6 TDI Polo with all these features, Almost all the 'So called' flaws[3 pot engine/ not so great feature set] with the car go out. And, If they can give us all this with only a marginal increase in price , i only see the waiting period for the Polo going up

Just look at the Manual AC Switches & Black-Beige dashboard colour, these are present in Polo Highline only, whereas Vento Highline comes with Automatic Climate Control System & Brown-Beige colours.

Just wondering how much its 1.6 TDi version will cost ??

Saw this thread today morning, burnt half a litre of blood. Just bought one for wifey in Jan 11, and now they come up with improvements !

I'm pretty sure older Polo's would not be 'upgradeable', even if they were it would cost an arm and a leg.

I think Polo with these features might become the perfect hatch. Ofcourse price is yet to be seen. I do not think the existing polo's can be upgraded. How can one add audio controls on your steering wheel? Reverse parking sensors can be added but audio controls on steering wheels is not possible. Steering mounted power windows is a great feature. Is it present in any other car?

VW's do not come with steering mounted power windows - that is height of laziness. That switch is for operating the stereo / phone and also trip computer. Similar to the Passat

If it is coming in Polo then logically the same features should come in the Vento considering the goodies offered by competition like ANHV. The question is when? and how much more?

The russian version of VW Vento (refer below link) already had these features at the time of launch in Mid 2010. Why the discrimantion with the Indian market?

Assuming this is the Highline Polo that is shown in the scoop... What is also noticeable is the side mirror. Notice the manual adjustment lever is missing on the ORVM, which tells us this car will also have electrically adjustable ORVM

Another check on the -bucket list' for Polo i guess

Correct me if i'm wrong but wasn't the Polo 2011 model already equipped with Electronic adjustment for mirrors ? Its nice to see VW adding features to the Polo. They are taking customer feedback seriously
