Yes my friend. Gave them the go ahead. The part has arrived today and the car will be delivered next week.

VW cars just feel so much better and composed on road when compared to their counterparts from the East. They make you feel that you are driving a car which is a segment or so above.

Could you share these details? Do you think it has to do with driving style?

I guess I got a decent deal, didn't I?
It's the gesture that counts Also why wouldn't they offer 50% off on everything, just the flywheel 20% doesn't make much sense to me. Still it's a good customer experience coming from VW so I would accept the offer.

There are scratch marks and burning marks on the clutch and the flywheel. The official quote/diagnosis is that it is due to the car is being driven keeping the clutch depressed partially. I for one disagree as this has never happened with any of our other vehicles. So I think it could be because-

1. There is genuinely some problem with the driving style and the VW just couldn't take the abuse.

2. Our driving style has change after taking the delivery of the VW. Though as can you imagine, this is the least likely.

3. As can be seen from my original post, the car was driven briefly after the clutch sank in. Maybe the damage happened in this short duration itself. I feel that this is most likely the case. One failure led to another.

Good to know. Tausif is a gem of a guy and has been handling my car since 2014.

Do purchase the Extended Warranty. Better safe than sorry.

Can you please PM me the email ID of the director? I am facing issue with my VW and need to write to them. I sent an email to customer.care@volkswagen.in but haven't received a response yet.

In my previous reply to this post of yours, I had erroneously mentioned the very same email-id. The actual email-id can be seen from the above reply of mine.

Volkswagen Virtus cabin lamps came apart on potholed roads. This was shared by an owner in a FB group.
