It's definitely on the cards, Arup. Either Dec 2011, or most definitely Jan 2012 at the Auto Expo. The City facelift will be unveiled after the Brio launch is over.

This is how Honda will be going through launches in the days to come -

Jazz ---> Brio ---> City ---> Civic ---> CR-V/Accord (possibly)

Thanks Raven, I am really getting itchy whether to go for the AHNC now or wait for the face lifted City

The changes will be purely cosmetic (revised headlamps/taillamps/front grille), with a few interior features added I think (such as a proper USB, two-tone interior colors, etc.). The engine specs and the suspension will remain the same.

You won't miss on much if you get one now. I suggest going for the V variant, if you finalise your decision.

Those plasticky washing machine switches are an eye sore to the beauty of the car. Hence the wait.

Replies in bold. Thanks for your advise.

I doubt this timer has to with the City launch. Tried changing the url in various formats and the net result is the same

http://do4dreams.com/?tag=new-2012-honda-city-coming-to-india-by-year-end

http://do4dreams.com/?tag=ford-fusion

http://do4dreams.com/?tag=chevy-volt

In fact the home page returns the same result

http://do4dreams.com/

I suppose these are SEO tricksters.

Plus bag load of accessories. Read Alam's post for example.
So make sure you get the extended warranty and RSA. Plus accessories of your choice. And dont forget the body cover. Which is easily squeezable into the deal.
mdsaab,

I am trying to negotiate the following accessories with my SA for the S-MT. Is there anything else more which i can ask for. Do you have a pricelist of the honda accessories?

1. Artificial leather Seat covers
2. 3M Sunflim - Side and Read
3. Side step garnish ( Front & Rear )
4. Parking sensors
5. Body Cover
6. Cushions
7. Mud Guard
8. Side Protector
9. Bumper Protector
10. 3D Mats

My SA said that the bumper/ side protector spoils the look of the car. Anyone feels so?

And which 3M film should i go for? Is RE50 the better one ?

And has anyone got the parking sensors fitted from Honda, what make is the unit?

Thanks

Hey Raven, doesn't it already support USB drives? From the web site - it looks like it supports iPods, USB Drives and Aux.

Arup, yep - ACC would be a good addition. Looking at some of the Brazilian and Thai Honda websites, it looks like it may have one or more of the following new features:

- Electrically folding ORVM
- Indicator also on ORVM [Repeaters?]
- ACC
- Reclining rear seat [saw this on the Thai site and felt it would be really cool if it would have been in the current City!]
- Slightly redesigned tail lamps.

You'll probably not get the hefty discounts that are available now though [~70K] along with all the free accessories. You may just get the corporate discount and the trivial freebies [body cover/matts/pillows].

It is a tough decision indeed - latest model [could be out end of this year or early next year] vs the money savings in the current model.

Guys, please do not de-rail this thread.
There is a separate thread about Honda City, may I request you to please carry
on your discussion there? This thread is about the Honda Jazz if I remember correctly :@.

This thread was started when Honda cut the prices of the City in mid June. Even the title says "Honda India slashes the City's price by Rs. 44,000 - 66,000!". So where does the Honda Jazz come into the picture

The current connector supports ipods not sure if its USB.

Hope Honda gets a bunny out of the bag quickly. If even 3/4ths of what you mentioned appears, the vtec will revv up Honda back to its No 1 position in the C segment.

Just that the wait is killing for "honda" buyers like me.

Just visited the Honda website to clarify the USB connectivity.

"The Advanced Integrated Audio System is the world‘s first car audio exclusive to digital media. This advanced Audio system offers consumers the liberty to integrate with any of the newer technologies like iPOD, MP3player, USB Memory, cell phone with MP3 Player."

So i guess it should support, but any City owners please confirm.

^^ Yes it supports USB.
I currently have the 8GB USB drive loaded and have been playing it happily ever since

Of course the head-unit supports USB.
I just got my city 4 days back and have been enjoying my pen drive usb playbacks since. Although CD player is not part of the standard head-unit. If you need a cd player that can be installed at an additional cost of 13k from Honda showrooms.
Its another thing that who would want to install a cd player these days. While launching the present model of city in 2008 , Honda was somewhat criticized for not including the cd player.
It appears they were right in going away with it even in 2008.
I might say that they saw the future and only included the usb/aux unit.
