These Sales Advisor know how to fool people. I am sure it not be ready before next weekend. The sales person has been fooling me for the past 10 days saying tomorrow tomorrow. i dont know whats taking them such a long time to register a car with RTO.

In chennai abt vdi waiting time is 6 months and zdi also 6 months.........

If i am made to wait for another week, then i have no other option other than to go for a micra or figo.......saves money saves time........

I am really worried at this attitude of MSIL warding off potential customers quoting unavailability of TD cars

If i am made to wait for the TD car this long then imagine how long i will have to wait for the per se itself...........

Compounded to thios there is no official review here either to decide about the car

8 months waiting period ? you've gotta be kidding me.
Plus people are dumb enough to buy a car without a TD.

Re: MSIL discontinues old swift. EDIT : New Swift LAUNCHED!

The is called a trust a company made in india . My family has owned a maruti cars all over the years . We had two wagon R ran over over 1.3 lakh KM both with CNG fitted and we use to do extremely loading in it . The car didnt gave any issue till now . Maruti cars are build for long last as toyota builds it . Yes plastics are not better , but they have made a major changes in that dept . People blindly trust nissan , maruti , honda , toyota because they build cars to last and people have faith in it .

Geeash, i was told 3 months flat for Vdi + 12 days for transit. I would be booking the Vxi as my monthly run is less than 500 kms. Vxi carries 2 months (notice period) lol!!!!

On a seperate note - This car seems to have the potential to break all the records and set a new one as far as waiting period is concerned, 14 months, I just cannot beleive this!!!

Wonderful. Looks like White and Top end versions are most in demand. Almost all cars seem white and most are with alloys

I am booking my Vxi this Friday hopefully, I will get a delivery some where mid-of-November. I hope MSIL keeps stock of the booking numbers to meet customers demand.

Yes, it looks like most of them are preferring white. I have seen around 5 cars on road and all were white.

Waiting period is much less than what many people are saying. I see a reduction in demand in the last one month or so even for the diesel. the white board (that displays the waiting period) has simply vanished in some of the dealerships. One dealership is offering just 2 months for VDi (lowest I heard). ZDi is almost ........

OTR ZDi price in Kerala extended warranty and handling charges is Rs. 704015 to the best of my knowledge. (At this price,it brushes with Jazz X, petrol ofcourse. I visited Honda showroom and saw a Jazz select display car. The car retails at 640000 OTR excluding corporate discount of Rs. 5K. May be slight premium over ZXi, but worth it IMHO. Very attractive, loads of space, great head, leg, knee room, flexible seat adjustments, fully loaded with features, everything fine, except the post Tsunami shortage of spares. One of my ex-boss has left his city in the workshop for more than 15 days for want of spare. Honda paying a price for not believing in the Indian potential, by sourcing panels / parts from outside the country for so long!)

At this price, ZDi is also too close to the sedan territory (Fiesta classic, probably Etios Diesel, feature rich Manza, Logan and even Dzire VDi etc.) , which makes many people think many times. If you want ZDi, act faster. Due to the lack of demand they may rationalise the production volumes of specific varients, which happende in the case of VDi+ABS previously.
