Was the surge after 2k rpm...push you in the seat kinds? I have driven the older swift and I quite liked the surge is it any different?

Lots of mixed reviews, Hope that you can help.
Hi. The surge after 2K rpm is very much there. It also pushes you to the seats like before. Only things is that upto around 1800rpm the lag is perceptible. However, the better handling and stability will make you want this car even more.

Never sat inside the Fabia so cannot comment on that. But the i20 and Polo are not perceptibly better. And the new Swift is not lacking behind at all barring the power mirror and window switch.

I have seen all the interiors. ANSS interiors have improved significantly and IMHO better than i20, Polo and on par with Jazz (maybe jazz is slightly better). Not just the quality of fit and finish but the overall design is where it scores over the i20, Polo and fabia.

Whattttttttt!!!
How could they goof up that. Even I did not notice it at first. But nothing can escape the hawk eyes in Team-BHP. Maruti I protest. Not good.

Wow, its leather wrapped and has cruise control. Wish Maruti opted not to deprive us.
Also the MID looks nice in the international model.

Why so surprised? Even cars like the Mercedes SLR have this flaw(?).

Re: MSIL discontinues old swift. EDIT : New Swift LAUNCHED!

I found the placement of the horn in the new Swift a bit inconvenient. You have to stretch your thumb or lift your hand to access the horn. The horn did not sound too good either. If you see the two pictures above, the horn pad on the Indian version is a bit smaller.

I did not know that.
Is it sheer penny pinching or some engineering logic behind it, balance of wheels and all that?

See this too, I guess its too much of a hassle to make separate rims for the left and right side.

If we have two designs of alloy wheels then it is not possible to rotate tires. This is generally case with these kind of alloy designs. They look different on both sides.

You are right that Ritz sales figures have increased for the past few months, but its rear is a deal-breaker for many. Otherwise, sales would have easily crossed 10K mark.

No, old one is discontinued. But the Dzire, based on the old Swift, continues to sell.
