Don't know why Honda is doing this. This makes no sense. Lot of manufacturers are sharing the words across the world

"It was also alleged that the advertisement of TVS product confused customers into believing that the product of TVS was a licensed product of Honda"

LOL

Now Bramha Sun City ( a huge new residential colony here) will soon hear from Honda lawyers too ;-)

I think you can use similar names if you are in a different line of business or for a different kind of product - I can't make any software called windows but I can surely open a pre-school called windows.
Provided, that your school does not use the windows signature or Logo.

Is it a joke ??
OR
Is Honda getting inspired by the (cheap) publicity of Hyundai??

This sounds ridiculous. Tomorrow some Jap with a local brand name as say "Takagi Honda Nihongo" (dunno what it means) may sue Honda for the same goddam reason!!

Crazy!!

I think it is fashionable for them to sue each other.
I remember, Acer computers sued Bajaj for naming their bike Acer, thhey argued Bajaj is cashing in on Acer brand reputation. Is this a competition any way Bikes Vs Computers!!! I gues (not sure) acer won the suit and Acer is out.

This is ridiculous ...How can HONDA be so stupid? Suing TVS for using the name "CITY"? HONDA must be nuts

Honda cant go around suing everybody who is using the name CITY!! Iam sure there must be lots of other companies and products with similar names. This is more like a Pulicity Stunt...but this will sure misfire.

I think this this is bery ridiculous, i don't really see any reason to sue TVS for this. The bike is also named "Star city" and just not city, it makes no sense at all. I think honda has gone nuts.

Such gimmicks always come up from one manufacturer to another.

Various cases have come and gone and only a few register an impact to really afftect sales of the company.

One such eg would be the blackberry case.

Or may be it's a ploy by both companies to generate publicity.

Remember the TVS flame- Bajaj suit which simply fizzled out.

Atleast now we all have heard about a bike called starcity.
