Thats a good catch. Sensors are indeed missing. I hope there is a "Hidden" Reverse camera somewhere near/behind the tail gate applique

I hope that is not a pimped up GX model with the V badge, similar to what some cheap taxi fellows do. They replace the E badge with a V badge. Toyota would not stoop to that level but you never know, this is india.

1. I am not able to see any cam in the chrome garnish on the tail gate above the number plate.

2. I am not sure will some one be placing a cam that high - May be because it's safer and away from two wheeler accessibility!

I am some how quite disappointed. I feel, with some new additions, Toyota has removed some accessories from V variants as well; if we are seeing the actual V variant in the pics. And are they planning to increase their profit margins with these? We already have statements on the increased pricing on Innova due to yen rates increase. I hope all their moves take a hit and XUV teaches them a lesson on providing value to the customers. Toyota should not dare to charge such premiums just for their reliability.

I think they are targetting the facelift at only taxi operators. Even if Steel wheels without caps are offered in V model, taxi guys will grab it. Maybe they want Innova to be in taxi segment and forutner in passenger segment. They feel that Cabbies will anyway not use rear sensors, not get carried away for center wood finish console, heck instead of seats even if there are "nilkamal" stools they would still buy it. All cabbies care about is moving the car from point a to point b. They care 2 hoots for features, looks and comforts.

Its not the Cam in the Crome Garnish...Its the cover for the Numberplate Light. I have seen a Petrol Innova Today @ Panjim..No Rear Cam & Sensor.

This is indeed a top of the Line V Variant with Music System(DVD), MID, Steering Controls, Alloys, dual airbags and Phone Feature(Phone book, Call pick and Drop) for Music System like the one on Figo.

Re: 2012 Toyota Innova facelift unveiled internationally

Is it just me or this new front is a lot similar to that of the Altis?

Everything else apart from the front, rear tail lamps & the steering look the same. As for the front, I personally like the existing design a lot more than this one, though the chunkier steering looks better.

Shame that Innova still has a pull-type antenna of the '60s. Looks even more uglier than the current version, especially the back. Until now, I used to consider Innova as one on my shortlist. Toyota has made the job easier for me; one vehicle off my shortlist!

The car looks longer in the pics! And are the interiors going to get the wood finish? I thought something in blue color in the place of wood finish shown in the pics are going to be launched. And guess the model shown in the pic is equipped with cruise control as well. Lets see what new they got to offer this time.

So is the Innova also getting an autobox or only the Fortuner?

Re: 2012 Toyota Innova facelift unveiled internationally

This is sad. Don't understand why Toyota had to make those tweaks to the Innova. The lights both front and rear look don't match the overall design - they are more care-like than SUV-like, as they should be. The current version with clear tail lamps and smooth uncluttered design on the front looks much better.

I wonder why these changes were required and haven't they learnt from the success of the Fortuner, which commands immense presence for its looks.
