Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

Just spoke to a local deaer in bangalore. Petrol is expected to be within 8-10 lakhs and oct 1st week launch . Diesel may be launched after 3-6 months.
Again I feel that like the micra, nissan should not launch petrol and diesel separately. It desparately needs the initial buzz with the diesel.

I just heard from my contact. Nissan Sunny is supposed to be launched during next week. Did not disclose the dates.

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

I am so in double minds right now.
Do I go and get the sweet deal on the Linea T-Jet+ or wait for the Sunny to launch.

So much confusion.

Cheers

Well, other than the size, I don’t think there is anything much similar between the Sunny and T-Jet+. So what is the confusion?

Nissan vs. Fiat - a tough one !! But, I'd skew towards the Linea T - if not for anything else then for the sole reason that with a new launch, there are hiccups, teething issues with any car. So, you might be better off with the Linea !!

Unless of course, you are one of those who wants to buy the first one off the lot !!

I see the Sunny everyday in Tambaram on my way tp the office. The car is much bigger in flesh and looks good. Hope they launch it with a diesel soon.

Good to see ABS and Airbags standard across all the variants. Base version price of around 6.5l is very competitive IMO.

OD estimates the price range to be from 6-7.5L. Bit optimistic, IMHO. Looks like the XE will be a good deal with most of what one would want, including ACC. XE is not bad either, considering that it has ABS and driver-airbag. The rear end looks pretty "substantial", but in a Camry kinda way rather than Dzireish (from the pic posted by Durango).

If Nissan can actually price the car as expected, this can do very well! Only they need to increase the number of dealerships and ASCs. Despite the very limited current number, Micra is doing decent numbers. More visibility, more sales.

I will surely be more involved with the Linea post the buy. Lets see will sleep over it a couple of nights and see what to do.

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

There is a road show near temple bay chennai on Nissan Sunny if any one in chennai is interested to take a test drive or something.

Just wanted to pass this information.

Any idea on the pricing of the top variant?

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

Extremely underwhelming looks I'm afraid. I mention this since I find it rubbish even for an entry level car. Quite dated looks. Looking forward to a review nonetheless. Indian buyers seem to not care much about looks from my experience so let's see if this is a good car.

Any more details on this one; because this might be the media drive that is underway. We should see tbhp reviews once the vehicle is launched.
