Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

Got an email from CarTrade India. There seems to have been an event for the Auto Mags?

Nissan Sunny Driven - First impressions with Nissan Sunny Images | CarTradeIndia.com

Does this mean that the TBHP review follows shortly?

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

I believe the Sunny looks much better than the Dzire in these views. Can't understand how people compare the two.

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

Dzire is not to be compared with anything. Its just that the SWIFT heart + Maruti combination wins and people are tempted to take this for comparison. I would say, Dzire and to some extent SWIFT rear are the ugliest design I have ever seen, then closely followed by Xylo.
To be diplomatic, the 3 looks are subjective to personal taste

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

Nissan Sunny is a much bigger car when compared to the Dzire and Etios. The car has much better road presence and space inside should be much better. In terms of size, it looks even bigger than the Fluidic Verna, New Fiesta, City or the SX4 and in the league of Civic and Altis.

I hope Sunny comes in a Diesel Avatar and is priced well.

Thanks aaren! Yes, quite a good looking number.

What I don't like about cars from the Renault-Nissan stable is the overkill of light shades inside, especially the light grey/beige steering wheel.

Looks good. Spacious cabin. The rear leg room is generous but seems the seats lack under thigh support.
Overall a good package IMO.

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

Looks very spacious, and i'm sure it'll do well if priced right. The grey interiors are definitely hit or miss. Personally, I feel the sea of unending grey is a big no-no. It's just way too dull. Will be interesting to see how it fares.

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

The steering and the speedo console look nice albeit the Micra-ish side AC vents appear to be a size smaller than what you expect.
The car would do well provided the pricing is spot on.

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

The Sunny looks to be an excellent package! Good job by Nissan, and hopefully we will see it priced well. My guess is that it would go straight up against the City, Vento, Fiesta, Verna and the likes? The leg-room that I see in the pictures appears to be fantastic, and almost D-Segment car rivaling!

It seems to be well put together too! And if it is spec'd well enough, the Verna would be in some trouble, I think.

Nissan needs to step on the gas and establish more dealer/service-networks. Without which, they'd lose out heavily to Hyundai and Maruti. The better the service network, the better the after-sales-service experience.

Re: Nissan Sunny unveiled for the the Indian mid-size market.

Folks next week Sunny should be on display at the dealerships.

Had been to the Nissan showroom today and the manager is expecting the Sunny sometime next week.

Cheers

Checked out the video, and apparently the rear seat has enormous legroom! Can't tell about the under thigh support (don't know how tall the presenter is), but even if he is averagely sized - that's a lot of leg room.

Either that or the front seats have very little aft travel

Won't the Sunny have a diesel engine? It wasn't mentioned in the review at all.
