Sad the Lancer isn't even the future plan. That with a diesel engine would have been really good.

Outlander 7 seater is never going to shake up any sales unless they get a diesel engine in it.

I know I am going off on a tangent but the point is this management (CKB) needs to be taken out of the equation for the Mitsubishi product portfolio to make a mark in our market. I am at a loss as to why is that not evident to MMC. Once again my apologies for going OT.

Totally thumbs up, I curse HM for not bringing the new Lancer. Outlander would have seriously threatened the mighty Fortuner if it came with a nice diesel engine.

Mitsubishi is too good brand to be associated with those losers at HM. It's time they wised up and got serious about this market or risk losing it forever.

New Pajero and Outlander sound tempting though!

Sigh. The only car that matters isn't there.

Trust HM to get everything wrong at least twice. Lancer, where are you?

I'm surprised Mitsubishi even want to continue their JV with HM! Aren't they interested in breaking free and selling volumes independently? Don't the numbers that Toyota and Honda do even tempt Mitsubishi a little?

My eyes lit up when I saw this thread. Very disappointed that the Lancer isn't part of the plan. When I was purchasing my Cedia I was told they were going to launch the new Lancer in a year or two. Now I'm pretty sure HM-Mitsubishi is completely shying away from the segment.

So what is the unit for ? Only to power the new launched mentioned above or will it also find its way under the Cedia's hood ? I opened this thread in high anticipation hoping to find information about Lancer X. But I would be happy if the CRDI unit finds it way to the current Cedia. Kindly comment on this

Re: HM-Mitsubishi : A slew of launches coming up

In the first instance when I saw the thread, I thought this must be a spoof. Then I noticed that the author is GTO, so things seem to be looking ahead for HM-Mitsu

Some tips to the management:
-Outlander is not selling much, not because it does not have a 7 seat config, but basically lacks a meaty oil burner
- A.S.S - What's that(?)
- Revamp your marketing team
- You already have all the ingredients to make a success story, but the cook a.k.a marketing is non-existant
- if possible, walk out of the "alliance" with HM and come directly

Re: HM-Mitsubishi : A slew of launches coming up

I know HM is not flush with money but their current plans are not going to make any dent in the competition. I would suggest

1. A lancer hatchback refresh with 4g15 engine to take on Toyota Etios and Liva Heads on. A price cut and better build quality (like before) are but necessary.

2. A Cedia with 4d68 turbo and 4g15 DOHC MIvec. Peg the cedia against the City and Verna.

People don't want UV's when fuel prices are rising and UV's dont get you the sales numbers to sustain.

By nor bringing in the new Lancer Mitsu are shooting their own feet
I went beserek seeing this thread, which did not even last for a few seconds. *sigh*

The only way for them to regain market (read doing 500+ numbers at least) is by bringing in the Lancer.

Re: HM-Mitsubishi : A slew of launches coming up

How can Mitsubishi not bring in the Lancer! Outlander or Montero won't bring in good sales.
I wish some companies were serious enough. A good small car + Lancer at competitive prices = Game on.

with both of you. I opened this thread with so much excitement and hopes that at last HM would have finally woken up from the slumber that they are in. Alas, my enthusiasm did not even last a few seconds. This damn company does not deserve to exist.

Let HM and their management do whatever they want to all their models but not to Ambassador. If not anything, Ambassador atleast has a legacy and a fan following both of which will be undone if these two idiotic products are launched.

God only knows what is still keeping Mitsubishi in this so-called fit-for-nothing Joint Venture? Can't they break-up from HM, establish their own marketing and sales operation in India, use the HM facility only to manufacture their Lancer, ASX, Outlander, Pajero, Montero and MIEV models and see some volumes and profits from our country?
