New BMW X3 Officially out on Bmw.in. EDIT : Now launched @ Pg. 3

Hello,

While we await the launch and price details later this month here on Team-Bhp as usual we break the launch of the BMW X3 on it's Indian website. There is an option to pre-book the car which is only perhaps a manner in which to generate inquiry, the car looks like it is well spec'd and is loaded with everything needed to get this segment the king.

New BMW X3 India

The highlight for me was this line from the 6 Cylinder engine,"BMW xDrive30d accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 6.2 seconds. Equally impressive: the engine with its standard particle filter produces just 159 g/km CO2."

Also note this is the updated 3 Litre block and produces 258 Bhp, and 560 Nm of torque.

Cannot wait for the official price to be out.

Regards,

Looks good. Much better than the previous version X3.

Going by the rage BMW has garnered in the recent past, the company will certainly get some enquiries for this beast. Hope the current 'recession' rumours doesn't do any harm to this launch.

re: New BMW X3 Officially out on Bmw.in. EDIT : Now launched @ Pg. 3

Just got a call from the dealer, Their display car has been dispatched and will be on display perhaps mid next week, according to them only 2.0d versions will be on sale now and the 3.0d will follow a few months later, and he is quite sure of aggressive pricing and says the 2.0d model will only be perhaps about a lac more compared to the 520d, and that was his maximum range.

Am hoping Navigation and HUD is present on this also like the 530d, and perhaps seats with better side support compared to the 5.

No comparison between this design and the previous one. I though am wondering why are BMW getting rid of their aggressive designs? I prefer the aggressive ones (E60) compared to the subtle ones.

re: New BMW X3 Officially out on Bmw.in. EDIT : Now launched @ Pg. 3

Hello,

Just returned from the BMW dealer, and to my luck the X3 was being unloaded, so waited for a while and saw the car it was a 2.0D variant in white with the brown interior.

The car has the following features,
Panoramic roof,
Memory seats,
Idrive,
Dual zone AC,
Manually adjustable steering column (real bummer)
Cruise control,

I assume the 3.0d variant will have more features but the car definately looks very very nice and has a good proportion.

This will be coming much later

Cars are available with most of the dealers - they can show you if you are able to convince you are potential buyer ! Launch is probably on 25th

Navigation and HUD is present on this also
Nope - both are missing in launch model

Pricing - Yes aggressive should be less than 42 Ex Delhi - I believe at this time there is only one loaded model as described by S350L-E240

Do we have anyone here working at BMW / BMW India Dealership who would have better information on the 3.0d variant? And what additional features will it have?

Am keen to know about the HUD & Navigation and larger screen on the dash as I simply cannot stand BMW's with the smaller screen upfront?

Thanks a lot, Looks like the 3.0d does not have much in terms of extra features, pretty much like the 530d at launch I guess they will add some features like HUD and Navigation only after a year, and omission of rear view camera and electrically adjustable steering column is a huge mistake from BMW India.

Will wait until the additions are made, and hoping these are priced well.

True, never buy a new-car/ model at launch. Wait for a while till they add some features/ updates.

I am told that the 2.0 d will retail for approx 39 to 40 L ex-showroom and the 3.0d which will be available around Oct for about 46 L ex-showroom.
