re: Hyundai EON Now Launched! Prices between 2.7L - 3.71L Ex-Delhi!

The website states around 5 days to the launch... 12th October it is then?

Suggested my Father in Law to book one in Jaipur for himself over a couple of other hatches he had in mind. He was looking to purchase a vehicle only to commute from point A to B (no pre owned and no alto for him).
He's done that and the dealer has assured delivery before Diwali.

Key factors for suggesting him to go ahead with EON (Top variant) ahead of a few other hatches (in line with his requirements) were:

- Mileage
- Driver height & road view
- Interiors

That said, the refinement levels & interior space of the car will be major deciding factors before going ahead with the purchase.

Nice comparison Puneet. The good old Santro holds its ground compared with both Eon and I10.
The new design language of Hyundai is prominent in Eon. Love the front look but the back is a bit distracting with those huge tail lamps.

I am very impressed with the boot space. Notice that the wheel arch does not impinge into the boot space. Super interiors for a A segment car.

Thanks Puneet. From your photos, the dashboard appears to be set high (Not good for short drivers).
What is your impression about this? How is the front visibility compared to i10 or Santro?
Or compared to Spark and beat?

I am 5"9 and I did not found anything wrong or you can say high compared to i10 or Santro.
I found Chevrolet Beat & Spark dashboard high compared to Eon's dashboard.
According to me I think the Eon's dashboard will fit to everybody's need & offcourse height.

After seeing the Eon, i feel Hyundai needs to do something about the i10 design.
Especially in the rear.

re: Hyundai EON Now Launched! Prices between 2.7L - 3.71L Ex-Delhi!

How will the i10 deal with this? The Eon looks like a great little car, at least, from the teaser advertisement on the telly. people might just be tempted to save a few tens of thousands and decide to go in for the top-end Eon instead. It's a win-win for Hyundai. But it all depends on that wheezy little 800cc mill. Will it be enough?

The Eon might take some sales away from the slow-selling Nano too, apart from the multiple Marutis at this price-range.

Agree on both counts. The Santro stills has a simple yet practical cabin/boot space. Hyundai should retain the tall-boy Santro with a refreshed look in line with its fluidic philosophy and it will certain attract the Santro loyalists.

I too don't fancy the rear end of the Eon. The

"8" design of the hatch door was unnecessary, in my opinion. A straighter

design would have been simple yet effective.

This large boot space for a mini hatch alone could easily attract many potential buyers who love to carry their luggage with them.

The website is still showing 4 Days. Either they are not updating it or there would be a delay in launch.

Excellent comparo shots..The car looks too similar to i10. Infact the steering and dash look much better than i10's.

Contrary to popular opinion about it being an alto-killer, it might cannibalize it's own sister i10. I feel it will completely eat up prospective irde 1.1 customers of i10.

re: Hyundai EON Now Launched! Prices between 2.7L - 3.71L Ex-Delhi!

would like to know what is the difference between the magna, magna(O) and sportz variants?
is it worth paying the extra to get the sportz?
seems ABS isnt an option even on sportz and looks like it may be extra 25k for the sports compared to magna variant!!

Hey thanks for the pics! The boot space looks much better than in the A star. Even better than the new swift (IMO)!
How did you fond the panel gaps ?

Eagerly waiting for the pricing on the EON

If priced right, this could even be a NANO killer!

Looking at the sparse interiors, I think HYUNDAI is gunnig for the top-end NANO, also HYUNDAI is finally losing its 'tall-boy' image

Big Cheers to HYUNDAI
