No no, Autocar India is only making perhaps an error in typing unless they really don't know much about it but like I've said countless times the new A4 will be here in the early part of 2012.

What is up with these germans??
It seems all they are doing is putting all their resources into manufacturing their most premium offering (S class , 7 Series or A8) and after that just making it smaller by changing some design cues here and there and thats all !!
I for one would pick the current A4 over this any day !!.
I agree some design elements are meant to be shared to create a brand image , but this is not to my liking .

Boy am i glad i have the current gen A4. Not that this facelift looks bad but it will easily get lost in the swarm of Audis out there. Audis anyways have similar faces but the similarity between the A6 and the A4 is too close for comfort.
Besides, people call it a shrunken A6 of sorts but the A4 is anyways a size up from all its counterparts at 4700+mm so in the real world it will be extremely difficult to even distinguish its size from an A6 within the blink of an eye.

I spotted this same vehicle somewhere near Dadar a couple of days back. I think its the A4 facelift.

Spotted a White A4 facelift today at Dadar without any camouflage. At first glance from the rear it looked like an A6, but i kept wondering why does this A6 look small. Then had a look at the front & saw the design of the LEDs which gave away that it was the new A4. It does look slightly longer than the present A4 but i still prefer the looks of the present A4.

I guess launch is not that far. Maybe 2-3 months away!

Hi. Yes,it is the same car which i saw in December & i keep seeing it in Mumbai sometimes along with the Q3, just that i dont manage to take a pic of it. I personally prefer the looks of the current A4.
I guess launch should be in the coming months, once they are done selling the current stock.

Two questions:

1. Why does Audi care to cover the logo in their test mules? Anyone with reasonable knowledge on cars can tell for sure that it's an Audi.
2. Why is the VW/Audi group so mad on the family face? There's so little to differentiate between A4-A6/Vento-Jetta-Passat. At this rate they better have the model badge in the front grill itself to make things easier.

I just happened to speak to the Sr. Product Manager at Audi Mumbai West today, I made an inquiry for the on-going A4 and what deals can he get me on the model as a result of the facelift being around the corner. He claimed that the next launch around the corner for Audi is the Q3, which is in June. The face lifted of model is due in early 2013.

Anyways, he mentioned that the WCI Package now comes inclusive of the S-line body kit along with the Powered Passenger & Driver Memory Seats & Mirrors, Advanced Parking System, 17-inch alloys. He has promised to work out a deal for me as my reply to his question "when are you looking to buy this car?" was replied with "you offer me a good deal, we'll seal it right away".

Will keep this thread updated with the discounts he shells out for the on-going A4. Have called him over to my place for a test drive and discussions.

I saw an unregistered current gen Black A4 this week on the sealink with 19inch wheels (255/35 profile). It had an S line badge on the fender but it didn't have any sort of kit or the chromed out grill like platdza's car. The alloys looked good, car eventually went into Atria mall where Audi is having some kinda promotions over the past week.
