I had been given to understand that the Palio featured in post no. 104 was the one FIAT was planning to launch here in 2007.

Post No. 110 shows a still newer version of the car.

Wonder which one will be launched here.

this is 3 to 4 years old car. fiat is already testing all new 2008 palio in many countries.

I think these recent pictures are of the new Palio which would be alunched internationally this year however in India we are gonna get the international 2004 model which has front lamps like Corolla ......

God when is Fiat India gonna launch it ... last heard it was supposed to be out in Jan 2007.

Fiat is damn lethargy but still i love its products.

Spoke to Tata-Fiat and they said the new Palio will be here by 15th of this month. It has many changes and interiors are also changed a bit. It will be called the Palio 1.2. Also The 1.3JTD Palio will come by March and so will the punto. No news on the Dicor Indica.

Spoke to Hyundai they also said their CRDi Getz will come by March and Accent has been shut. Looks like the Swift is going to enjoy 1.5 months on it own.

Which dealer is this? And why will the car be called Palio 1.2 if it's going to have a 1.1 L engine? Palio 1.2 sounds like a software version from microsoft! As for the Punto coming by March, I don't think the dealer knows what he is talking about!

Well i spoke to Fortune Cars. Thats what he told me. When do you think the Punto will be coming? I think the Palio 1.2 will have a 1157cc engine or something so hence the 1.2 name.

From both the replies, i feel its an over-enthusiastic dealer without much info on matters...

Also... Even if its true... Is it the Punto??? I thought they would bring in the Grande Punto... (why do we get older models only???
