Re: Autocar India scoop: 2012 Honda City Facelift pics

I don't know what's this facelift is all about.

I too can not spot any difference except that the new front grill is little more angular.

The fog lamp area is new, the air dam is now more aggressive looking, ORVM mounted indicators seen in some pics, not sure if it would make it to India though. Tail lamps have some significant feature changes, rear bumper has new reflectors, black strip on the lower half is new as well.

These are mind boggling changes ! (By Honda's standards that is ) Haven't you seen the Honda Civic's and the Honda Accord's facelifts yet?

The rear end changes are pretty noticeable, but from the from looks one cannot make out any face lifts.
Don't know if Honda is just doing minor tweaks for increasing price or just for the heck of it.

Re: Autocar India scoop: 2012 Honda City Facelift pics

So today is the day Hope Honda does not dissappoint us and gives more features at a slightly reduced rate (like what they did with Jazz).

Guys, any idea on the time of the launch? And will the new cars be displayed in the showrooms from today itself?

Re: Autocar India scoop: 2012 Honda City Facelift pics

Just spoke to the Honda showroom guys over the phone. They said that the new model will be on display from 12 noon. And that lady said "Sir, the sun roof model is not available on display" This means that a sun-roof model does exists. And asked her for more info on features but she did not know much and told he the their manager will contact me soon.

I just hope Honda adds ACC and keeps the prices in check!!

New Honda City sedan coming tomorrow | Cardekho Blog Post

The link suggests that the new Honda City will have ACC. I'm absolutely dying to know how this model will be priced visavis the outgoing one.

Just got this info from a friend at a dealership.

No ACC on any model.

Cruise control on V and V sunroof models.

S gets a 5 spoke alloy and V models get a 10 spoke one.

ORVM with indicators only on V models.

There is a corporate edition with black interiors

The AC knobs get a chrome treatment, probably all models

Rest of the changes on the exteriors as we seen on earlier pics. Will update as i get more info.

Cruise control in a Honda City? And still no Auto-Climate-Control?

What on Earth would you do with Cruise Control in India? Use it for about a maximum 500 km in it's time with you, which would be roughly 50,000 km -10,00,000 km.

While Climate-Control will be used every day?!

Couldn't agree more. Even on Expressways, you frequently need to change speeds since you have slow cars on the rightmost lane, overspeeding cars forcing you to change speed/lanes etc. And on any of our non-expressway national highways, its practically useless.

Having the ACC would not only provide a lot of day-to-day convenience but would also get rid of those washing machine knobs they are using for the AC now.
