Yep rightly pointed out. And yes each has a V2. And actually in all the previous cases the V2 sold much more than the first one. That though seems doubtfull this time considering the competition and absence of diesel in these times.

I am so glad i bought my car before this one arrives. I don't think I would have bought it with this chrome grill and chromed headlight inserts.

Very correct - the lack of a diesel mill is surely hurting them the most - to the extent of getting them to offer discounts on their best selling model.

Here, we can see ACC, cruise control etc. But, the other pics of the City shown seems to be the current version and hense confused whether this is indeed a facelift snapshot.

Attachment 613302

Thought of sharing since the article mention about interiors in bit more detailed format from what we were hearing.
This is the East European version of City, in existence since 2008 I think, the same time the Indian version was launched. It comes with ACC and CD Player by default, which Honda decided not to give to the Indian market. I had posted these pics in couple of different threads earlier just to show how shoddy treatment the Indian market gets from Honda.

Uploading the specs in English from the thailand microsite for facelifted City. Looks like no ACC, no CD player - that is what we are likely to get in India. The actual brochure is too large 6 MB+, so here's the link to download it: http://city.honda.co.th/city/downloa..._catalogue.pdf

Don't completely go by the specs, since here we get alloys in MT versions, whereas in most other countries, you get alloys only for AT.

Personally I like the chrome front grill, and the black under-bumper treatment, but honestly, the current owners will not be losing anything unless they have things like ACC et al.

Same here , i like the black treatment inside as well but will need to see to gauge realistically whether it would be better looking than the black/beige combination

The black interiors are again standard on Australian/SE Asian models, they always had it. They have launched beige only in India, seems that their survey says Indian market prefers beige interiors.

I always prefer black interiors though.

I like black as well , whether i would choose it all the time is subject to the car and honestly there is something nice about beige as well.

According to my source in Honda, the refreshed city will now also come with an optional sunroof.

Glad its optional ! dont want to necessarily be forced to pay a higher price for such a feature

Does your source have anything to say on the interior console? :-)

Bingo !

I am surprised when people say they are giving discounts as much as Rs 1lac !
Encouraged by this, I went to Honda showroom yesterday to buy City. They simply offered 20k discounts apart from insurance only

I came back to wait for some more time. Some of my friends are suggesting to go for diesel sedan ( vento etc ) but my heart says Honda

Re: Autocar India scoop: 2012 Honda City Facelift pics

So that's 20k + insurance = about 43-45k , it might not be 1 lac but its not a bad deal. Add this to the lowered prices and you are looking at an overall reduction of 80k or so from what it was a few months ago.
