Dont think its ANHC doing the trick
VW has been offering special editions only on Petrol (and might be only for base trendline) version only

The Breeze package, IMO, is for petrol variants(MT) only!

Cheers!

For the Vento, it looks like pillows have replaced the cricket bat and ball. Why does VW have to give out freebies that make no sense at all. Whats next? A jar of cookies free?

yes I too think its only for petrol. We made the payment for the Vento Diesel TDI yesterday. There was not a rupee off of the price. We did take our own insurance though. Probably thats why the dealer refused to give any discounts.

Re: VW Polo / Vento "Breeze"; another limited edition variant

This is similar to the IPL edition to push the trendline petrol variants only and I think this is the same HU that was provided with the IPL edition, Can this be sourced seperately? Does it have pre-outs? can someone clarify?

I wouldn't be surprised if unsold IPL vento's are renamed as breeze under this promotion to clear the inventory!

Re: VW Polo / Vento "Breeze"; another limited edition variant

I fail to understand why nobody is not thinking about a face lift polo/vento, with steering mounted controls, 1.5L engine (may be) and sorts. They need to sell off the inventory. With ANHC facelift on the way, new Jazz/Brio combination, they are feeling the heat. I believe we have a facelift coming up.

True seems the facelift of Polo ( steering mounted controls, new HU,etc) is near release. IMO this would also be the reason for a price increase since already GM and Toyota has indicated so!

Cheers!

Re: VW Polo / Vento "Breeze"; another limited edition variant

After some pestering, my VW sales contact just disclosed some news.
The Breeze offer is on Polo (Petrol Only) & Vento (Petrol & Diesel Trendlines Only). VW provided Audio system (Nippon brand - without CD/DVD facility), 4 Speakers and the Breeze branding will be done at Showroom to the existing Vento Trendlines. You have to retail by 30 Sep 11 to be eligible for the offer (aka book now if your city has 3 week waiting period on the Trendline).
Also, the facelifted (steering mounted controls, cruise control, etc) Vento news is seemingly true. Showrooms have been seemingly 'notified' that Vento TDI HL would be henceforth manufactured with 'facelifted' features. Of course a price increase is on the cards.

Re: VW Polo / Vento "Breeze"; another limited edition variant

Please check the official vento TD thread, there is lot of discussion around this topic. This upgraded version should be available by next month before diwali (may be even before that)

As I understand, the production has already started with these additional features.

VW going the Ford way. There will be more special editions on the roads sometime soon than regular variants.

Yes, the 15K + Free insurance is the better deal.

Now with the news from various quarters of the upgrades coming of Polo1.6 shortly, dealer has asked if I would take delivery now or would wait for the upgrade, though he has no clue on the date of the same! Upgrades noteworthy, IMO would mainly be on audio controls on steeering and the foldable ORVM's.
Is it worth the wait with no offical indication of the same?

Cheers!

If the dealer has given you the option of waiting for the upgrade, I reckon you should wait for it Volkman.

But the question is is there really an upgrade coming , say, in the next one month ?
Anyone having VW links to confirm this?

Cheers!

Being VW, one can never say. I had no idea they had a 1.6 till I went for a TD of the 1.2
