Fuel cost is not the only reason to go for a diesel car. The reason I am leaning towards diesel Vento is for its sheer power when compared to the petrol version.

Re: VW POLO/VENTO Breeze-another limited edition variant

i fell off my chair when i saw this- how is "Branded Luxury Pillows" a marketable upgrade? seriously - is VW going the same route of offering "limited edition" with complete eyewash options?
Yes- the SatNav is good, but that about it, floor mats, faux leather and cushions are NOT "limited edition"
Can someone please shake these car manufacturers out of their lethargic slumber.

Is it an area specific offer, like eastern India or western India? I think so because there is no disclaimer about any such thing NOR does it state that the offer is from dealers. It simply writes- Contact your nearest dealer for further details

Re: VW POLO/VENTO Breeze-another limited edition variant

Lol! I wonder who'd really care for the "Breeze" branding.

Breeze at the back; on the "luxury" pillows?! - c'mon, what are we? 1st grade students to be flattered like that!

Aren't "branded" floor mats always given? Or these will be "Breeze" special?

Guess only the touch-screen makes sense. Another way of giving discounts?

OT : How many people actually bought the "IPL" edition - any numbers?

Re: VW POLO/VENTO Breeze-another limited edition variant

Just spoke to the guys at Downtown. Told me that the entire "Package" costs 32k. I'm guessing this includes the Touchscreen HU & the reverse sensors.
It takes 2 weeks to get the unit fixed after one places the order.

Pretty reasonable IMO. Warranty remains intact :-)

EDIT: Just got a call from the dealer. This package ain't available for the Highline. Bummer!

Re: VW POLO/VENTO Breeze-another limited edition variant

My dealer in Hyderabad had told me that this offer in only for Trendline variant (petrol+Diesel). The package cost 35k but is not available for Highline variants.

I am also checking with him about the price of HU and possibility of fitting this on Vento Highline. Will update when I get the details.

Re: VW POLO/VENTO Breeze-another limited edition variant

Gentlemen, we have to remember car sales are down overall.
VW are trying to create some hype rather than slashing prices.

Sat Nav, parking sensors are a very handy addition.
(Highlighting cushions is a bit much though! )

When the offer for free insurance and 15k free worth of accessories is there currently, howdoes this 'BREEZE package' addition work? Isn't the
15K + Free insurance a better deal? Am talking about the Polo not sure for the Vento's though!

Cheers!

Re: VW POLO/VENTO Breeze-another limited edition variant

All these are accessories and not modifications to the original product. Could this be VW's way of clearing existing stock to make way for the new models with steering-mounted controls etc. that we have been seeing getting tested lately?

Was thinking of you're situation when I saw the Ad today Volkman.
Yes, the 15K + Free insurance is the better deal.

The car is expected in a day or two ,when i saw this 'Breeze package' and was a bit confused.
Anyways would not like the 'Breeze' logo along with the Polo, seemed odd!

Cheers!

Volkswagen Polo and Vento - Limited Edition in the festive season
The name Breeze itself is a joke. Regarding the link you posted, I kinda like the sharp lines of the current Polo as opposed to the curved one's in the face-lifted version.

Re: VW POLO/VENTO Breeze-another limited edition variant

Too bad only the petrol vehicles are offered in these variants.
But then the diesels are already selling and the production libne must be in full capacity. But this attitude proves one thing. VW will not sit idle if any product is a DUD. They will find ways to (try to) sell them more.

I think they should instead, have flexible line so that they can produce the diesel vehicles more as the demand increases.

I didnt like the curved one either. The current one is a timelessdesign. VW has to work hard to exceed its current benchmark in the next facelift.

+1 to that.
I would buy the diesel even if it gave 6KMPL. Or in other words same running cost as petrol.
The fun that 250Nm torque can bring is immense.

Re: VW POLO/VENTO Breeze-another limited edition variant

Not sure how others felt, but the Font displaying the "Breeze" in the rear looks very very ugly.

If at all I get the car, I will first remove the Breeze writting in the rear.

One question running in my mind, normally people come up with special edition only when thier models are reduced in demand. Not sure why Vento is going on special edition despite having a waiting period of aroun 6-9 months. Does anyone know the reason for such sudden new interest from VW to give out free stuff. Dont think its ANHC doing the trick
