Dude, I think you got me wrong here. Let me make it clear for you:
1) Facelifted version will be coming by the end of OCT - Nov 2011.
2) New version will be coming out in mid 2012. This new version will have ACC, Blue lighting on the odo (currentlly its orange), OE HU (Caska) - for the high end model and other features.

Re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

I had another heart burn when I read that an additional 70k was shaved off the City. Thankfully, someone clarified that this is the same discount being offered since couple of months.

Resale value of every City (old or ANHC) must've gone for a huge toss. This is not going to go down with existing Honda customers; though I'm sure hardly any will move away from Honda.

Honda - if you're listening : there's only so much image and loyalty works for someone. You're treading on thin ice. Very thin. People have started getting royally pissed off.

When has it not been since 3 months?

What about those ~60k who bought it at a "premium" until the price cuts were announced?

Re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

Guys, I picked up my City in August. Got a discount of Rs.92,000 in Delhi. Pit one dealer against the other and you'll get the best value.

You meant 'new variant' with all the features mentioned right? Totally revamped version must be coming only by 2013 considering the 5-6 year design cycle.

Re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

i got a call from a dealer i visited sometime back , getting an OTR of 8.90 on the VMT model. Discount of 65k , which clearly after reading other posts here is on the lower side - maybe there is flexibility to get another 20-30,000 off.

No accessories were offered , plus i had selected choices in terms of colours .

I bought my City from Courtesy Honda. They gave me Rs.92K off, as you would have noticed in my earlier post. Let me know if you are interested and I'll pm you the contact details of the sales rep who gave this offer to me in August.

Re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

It could be inventory reduction or, more likely, desperate measures by Honda to infuse some mindshare into its pure petrol lineup of cars that the market has moved away from.

Will do! 92k was including everything or did you manage to squeeze accessories / any other value adds beyond that as well?

Re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

Attached is the ad in todays Bangalore Times. The discount is also on V AT. Not a new or additional discount- just an continuation of what was already offered since August! Woh kya kehte hai - "Nayi bottle purani sharaab" !!

What was the final on road price after discounts? And which dealership was this?
I spoke to Arya Honda, but they aren't offering any additional discounts - just the 65k from earlier. Ex-showroom prices Mumbai:
S-MT: 8.6L, V-MT: 9.07L - this is without any bargaining.

These prices don't reflect the clearance discounts being spoken about in this thread. Arya guys claimed they hadn't been given any instructions to clear stocks, nor were they sure about when the facelifted version was to be launched! Which dealer in Mumbai is offering these discounts?

Re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

Am getting a 53K discount on the S-MT with 2 yr extended warranty and 2 yr roadside assistance. No accessories. Now without the extended warranty and the roadside assistance dealer is willing to give a 70K discount off the ex-showroom. Is the extended warranty and road side assistance really useful for the City.. I won't be doing too many highway runs.. mainly daily commute in NCR. Any advice would be appreciated.

P.S - dealer was not aware of the Oct 1 - Oct 5 scheme and said that is just what these online sites simply put and there is no such special discount at all. Just the usual which is this.
