Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

Source DWS AUTO

Honda City price slashed by another Rs 70,000 till October 5!

Honda City discounts
The base model, Honda City EMT 1.5 gets a cash discount of Rs. 25,000 bringing its price down to Rs. 7.24 lakh from Rs. 7.49 lakh. The popular SMT variant gets whopping Rs. 65,000 off bringing down its price to Rs. 7.54 lakh from Rs. 8.19 lakh. And the fully-loaded VMT which costs Rs. 8.64 lakh can be had for Rs. 7.94 lakh after a Rs. 70,000 discount.

In short, all variants of the excellent Honda City, sans the automatic, can be bought for less than Rs. 8 lakh—BUT ONLY TILL OCTOBER 5. And there is an added benefit of slightly reduced interest rate of 11.49 per cent which should save a few hundred bucks more.

Do you think its because they may be launching the Facelift some time soon?

Meanwhile, Honda is also waiving off insurance on Accord (benefit of Rs. 47,000) and Civic (benefit of Rs. 32,000).

Nissan Sunny effect? why only for 5 days? just to pull the festive crowd not swayed during their sure season of car buying? Even if this is a stock clearance effort by Honda for face lift, it only reveals the margin they have on these E and S models to the buyers.

I just called Whitefield Honda, the sales guy was pretty surprised but said yes to the SMT pricing discount which Y@sh has posted. Thanks man.
Have asked him to call me back with the final price he can provide on the SMT.
Looks like a great time for Petrol car buyers, will check the discounts on the TJet also tomorrow, fuel prices be damned

Dude, They will be releasing the new facelift version of Honda City by mid- end of October that will come without any discount. Hence, they are offering hefty discount on the current version of ANHC. Its really a steal for those who are interested to go this offer considering that the new version has only minor cosmetic changes compared to the current version.

re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

I believe it’s the discount which is being offered on all Honda City models and not the official price cut. Further, I can confirm the discounts; today afternoon my friend booked a Honda City EMT model here in Pune with a whooping cash discount of Rs 80,000.

Honda finally playing the 'Value' card. This might just be similar to JAZZ, new City might be launched in the whereabouts of the discounted price.

Honda trying to consolidate City territory!

like someone else said, stock clearance for face lift city to be introduced shortly.

i would still choose City over its petrol rivals.

re: Honda City price : Another 70,000 rupee discount

Thats great news. I would love to get in on this deal.. How does it work if I get this on a co. lease. I plan to book it tomorrow and pay the booking amount but then it will take a couple of weeks for the leasing co. to release the PO to the dealer and take delivery.. so would this price be still applicable?

Apart from the festive season and the much anticipated facelift, I somehow feel that this reduction is to accommodate a Diesel heart at a higher price.

Rs. 75000 discount being offered only for the T Jet+. They will throw in insurance, 50 months Road Side Assistance and 2 year extended warranty for free. The 1.3lac discount that they claim adds up only if your company lists in their corporate discount scheme. The actual discount comes to around 1.05lac which is still fantastic.

I am lining up for the jet myself. Saving some dough. If all goes well I should book my steed by the end of this month. It should also give Fiat some time to think over if dropping the price of the car make sense. I believe it does. First of all, it is a petrol, it hardly sells and with a car like the Honda City priced a good 2 lacs lower ex showroom, Fiat might want to drop prices. Then there is Diwali towards the end of the month.

A discount for 5 days? The dealer typically charges the value of the vehicle on delivery and unless they can deliver in 5 days, they would be charging the full value of the vehicle (?). I guess the insurance discount wouldn't be applicable either because it can only be done after vehicle registration (correct me if I'm wrong here; Varun Motors typically handles the temporary registration and insurance for my Marutis).
