Re: Tata Sumo Gold - Refreshed Sumo!

Dear Friends,

Another member to the Sumo club!!
I booked my Sumo (Blazing Red) today by paying 10k advance with Concorde Motors Dairy Circle, Bangalore.

All the above blogs above influnced me. A detailed review by Vasant Guru and Gyans from DB Sir made me just go for it without a second thought.

I request all the Gurus advice me on the dos n donts and also what accessories I should buy and what to avoid. They have promised me Bridge stone stock tyres.

Kind Regards

Cheers bro! congrats on your purchase! can't wait to see pictures.. wish i could have got it in red or gray but white isn't bad either do share detailed pictures and a review from your end..

I have just completed 16k kms and is due for second servicing.

Did another 1800 km round trip to Ahmedabad from Pune last week and pushed 110-120 quite easily for long stretches of time. While its new, it may be difficult to push the Sumo to 100 but once roused, it handles superbly and is very stable.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.. I have stock CEAT tyres.

Re: Tata Sumo Gold - Refreshed Sumo!

Hi Friends,

Writing after a long gap. The Sales support at TATA Concorde Motors turned out to be pathetic which forced me to cancel my booking. Then had to buy Bolero. I will pen down my experience shortly

Re: Tata Sumo Gold - Refreshed Sumo!

Saw this immaculate 2012 Sumo Gold last evening. In a sea of curvy cars, it sure stood out with its ruler-straight lines. What character! Car was so well kept that it looked like he'd just driven out of the showroom. Beautiful.

Hello Mod, how're you so sure it's a 2012 sumo?

Could be brand new. Even I've removed all the stickers that came with the vehicle.

MH01CP is the current series. My New Honda City purchased in March is MH01CP19xx. MH01CH ended in Jan 2017 and CP started.

Looks like he did indeed drive it out of a showroom.

Question though, how does the series jump from CH to CP? Aren't they supposed to proceed in alphabetical order only?

2012 series was MH-01-CA

MH-01-CP is 2017 as Ritesh rightly mentioned.

Yes indeed. The car is too chakachak for Mumbai Standards.

They have different series for 2 wheelers, taxis, Government vehicle, etc, which must be causing the alphabetical jumps. If I am not mistaken, it was CD, then CH and now CP...

It can be a re-painted Sumo Gold from 2012, cannot see the reflectors or mud flaps on the car.

I owned a 1998 Tata Sumo Base model, used to repaint it every 4 years. Character the car had was amazing. Had it for almost 15 years and 60,000kms clocked. Was still in great condition when we decided to sell it.

I used to rev it like a muscle car with my friends in it, it did shake a bit like a muscle car

Re: Tata Sumo Gold - Refreshed Sumo!

MH02DF may be a 2012 registration. MH01CP is a 2017 registration and I believe this is a reserved series for government or police vehicles.
