I spotted the SRV testing on the BOM-BLR roads a few days ago, That's my everyday route to work and GM have a Cheverolet outlet on that highway [Pashankar] where the car made a quick exit!!!

I also spotted a TATA Van [Innova sized], a TATA indica totally camouflaged and defaced!!! and a caravan of MAN trucks on that highway, sad thing is that there's no way in hell i can carry my camera to work!!

Is Tata testing for a new engine or something for the Indixx series? I keep seeing under test cars (Marinas and Indicas) doing rounds of ARAI. A good way to spot many yet to be launched cars is to sit outside the ARAI gates, as I do sometimes in the evenings...

Does ARAI have just one gate, the one that's ontop of the hill whose road passes through that really slummish area???

I have a feeling they're testing an engine and not a new body design, because the headlights were square were placed like a caterham 7, which makes me think that they're not concentrating on the design!!!!

Yups...thats the one. Though the top is really a nice place to jog and just sit around.
And yes..the cars were normal except for their TC number plates. No body change yet. And for some reason, I even saw a heavily disguised white Aveo sedan a few days ago. What was the need? They didnt even cover the bow tie and the Aveo LT badgings...

Come to think of it, the Scion's are priced below regular Toyota's .. may be they should just get those into India. Would work for Toyota, would work for junta ..

Edmund, any way of having a small cam in the car - even a 2-3 megapixel ..?

Ashok Leyland's small truck for the Army

Spotted this small truck from Ashok Leyland & sporting an 'On Test' board, on NH-4 near Sira, Tumkur. Had a hummer like look from the front. The spare wheel was mounted inside the tail gate.

Every manufacturer wants to be in on the Army contract, bodes well for us, we may get the civilian versions of these monsters in the near future, gets me salivating, imagine driving one of these in Bangalore traffic, no more worries about Autos sideswiping the car.
