Saw the news on Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar exiting from Mahindra Auto Division.

It is quite a shocker since he was behind some of the success stories of Mahindra. After been associated with the group for over a decade he has decided to move on to newer challenges. Wishing him all the best.

Definitely Mahindra's loss. He has been in charge of the launch of some very successful products and is obviously a brilliant manager. I read somewhere that the main reason for his move was the lack of future promotion opportunity.

Apparently he is moving to Zee Entertainment Group as the President (Source: Network18 CEO Haresh Chawla quits - Economic Times)

Looking back, he had indeed given a great impetus on the management side. Sure the effect of his resignation might be seen in the longer run.

But the article goes on to say that he will be joining an non-automotive company. With the booming Auto sector of India, I have a feeling he might be joining either a PE/VC Fund to advise them on the automotive landscape in India.

He is from a non-automotive background- was heading Marketing at Marico when I joined there as a management trainee in my first job. Good luck to him!

According to some news reports, He is joining M&M again. Will look after the tractor and farm business.

Yes, he's moving on from his role as President of the Zee Network which btw has a reputation of being a bit ad-hoc in its functioning. Although it is a little surprising that his stint has come to a premature end in a matter of just 10 months.

What this means is that it is most definitely a homecoming of sorts for Mr. Jejurikar who will lead M&M's tractor and farm business. He was responsible for making M&M automotive unit a force to reckon with and I'm sure he will bring a lot of experience and vision in his new role.

Had attended couple of his presentations during my time at M&M AS. Impressive guy. Liked his work ethics.

he quit M&M amidst pressure on Xylo - his brainchild model. Now XUV 5OO and XYLO platform is going from strength to strength!

Now as President of Zee Network, the scandal vs. Mr. Jindal et all and the 100 crore sting, it's high time he quit Zee. M&M is the right place for a man like him.

Remember writing mails to him on Thar on insistence of someone from MM on t-bhp! He did reply a couple of them & forwarded some to MM managers.

IMO a man here or there is not much of a loss to a big organisation/institution.
