I assume probably the same will be true this time too. FIAT (parent company) may not be participating, but the current FIAT models sold in India may be placed with other Tata vehicles. Not sure about this though.

I would try to focus on the two wheeler segment, since not much seems to have been discussed yet. few of the models which we could expect to see in the AE 2012

1. Suzuki 250 parallel twin, aka Izanuma
2. Yamaha scooters (expect premium models with discs, new tech and steep price). expect to get a 250 cc single too.
3. KTM 200/125 to be launched
4. Iconic Brit manufacturer to show case entire lineup including Bonneville, Sped/Street triple, 675 Daytona, Rocket III
5. Some concepts like a big bore bike, 500cc TB. Mr. Venki, get us the 500UC and the cafe racer.
and some unexpected surprises

ot: however none of these, really none, appeals to me! what i have been waiting for years is an "affordable inline 4 street bike". could be a 400/600 and manageable weight (read sub 200 kgs). I hope some OEM gives us one such.

I am hoping that Suzuki launches the Izanuma here. Duke is a confirmed news, only price is awaited. Guess pulsars too will show up in brushed up avatars. Yamaha scooters are doing their rounds of 'peek - a - boo' for years now! Hope they will have something new rather than being just competitors of Activa - Access. Other big bikes are out of budget and hence out of coverage!

I read in some newspaper (do not recollect the name) that almost all auto majors are planning to show case mini SUV's in the auto expo. Interesting to note that Maruti is coming out with a mini SUV and so Is Ford.

Any news on the above?

I am hoping to see Puegot Citreon to debut/showcase a couple of cars during the expo, Renault Pulse and few others.

Any idea whether buses, LCV's are also going to be showcased?

Me too! Booked the air tickets to be there on 7th and 8th! Awaiting information regarding entry tickets.

The last time - Just had to buy tickets at the venue. Don't know if it is going to be different this time.

I guess people were talking about Honda CBR600R, Ninja 650 2012. Not sure if anything from the Yam stable (The talk of 250 has been going on for ages now but nobody knows anything)

-What are the starting & closing dates of Auto Expo 2012 ?

-What are the timings of the AE 12 for the visitors to visit ?

-Does passes are needed for the entry there ?? If yes then how & where they're available !

-Does Team-bhp-ians are planning an Auto Expo meet there ?? If yes, then please chalk out some plans & details about the latter.

Interesting participants from my point of view are - Quite a few electric 2-wheeler manufacturers, DAF trucks, kamaz trucks and Peugeot-Citroen. Lets wait and see what they showcase at their stalls. Their stands should be interesting. Hope they bring the Citroen DS3 Racing!

Online tickets sale will not be open this time. It has been confirmed by CII office. Also Premium Visitors priviledges are not different from normal visitors only timings are different for 2 days 9-10 Jan 10 AM to 3 PM. After these hours normal visitors can visit also. You have to pay extra for Premium Visitor tickets. Hope for a great rush at counters for tickets as no online tickets will be available.

Now with the online ticket reservation ruled out, we have a tough time in the queue. If I plan to visit the Auto expo on 2 days, can I buy the second day's tickets along with the first day's tickets? I know its a stupid question but still.
