@ VB- i asked him teh same question....but he was pretty clear- Mid 2013.

Per him, the launch date is indeed 2013 and the Ecosport being dispalyed here is just a mock up.

Got a chance to visit Auto Expo today. I was there to pick up special invite tickets for Jan 5 and Jan 6!

I visited the Tata, Ford, Audi and Toyota stalls. There was finishing work still going on, but all the cars were there covered with sheets.

Ford Stall:
- Ford and Toyota are sharing the same hall.
- Saw a figo and fiesta sedan hanging on the wall. Too bad, the ecosport was still not there!

Tata Stall:
- Couldnt go inside because of security

. From outside I could see some fancy colored Nanos and a full blown lineup of Janguar and LandRover cars.

Audi:
- Audi is sharing the hall with Tata+JLR.
- They also have atleast 20 cars displayed!!

Toyota:
- The facelifted Innova and Fortuner were displayed on an elevated stage and looks like Toyota is officially launching these facelifts in Auto Expo.
- I also saw race modified Etios and Liva. Both of them were under the sheets, but i could make out that the body was widened and they were also sporting race graphics.. and there was a racing video running on the big lcd.
- Apart from this, couldnt find anything new in Toyota. However, on the hoardings outside the hall, I could see written "All New Prius"

Maruti seems to have a full hall for themselves, couldnt enter because of secutiry.

I was running short of time, so couldnt explore more.

Now, that i have managed to get the special invites, will share more news once i visit on 5th!

Its the same this year, i have lot of passes but not able to visit. Good part is My Bro In law is heading the stall of Minda. He has shifted to automobiles from a different stream this year.

Hey Revved_up you forgot to mention what we saw at the Audi stall. First time saw firangs working in India as carpenters, electricians and painters with pencils above their ears et al..

On a serious note, we both are going together and will be armed with both our cameras. Will try to bring you as detailed pictorial as possible. Watch this space....
