Re: 2013 Linea Facelift

Linea as it is one of the best designs. Why change?

What Fiat needs is new design and ideas in their sales and service setup and not in their cars.

BTW any news if Panda or Multipla is coming to India? There were some stories floating around sometime back.

Re: 2013 Linea Facelift

Happy that I own the old linea. The grill in the spy pic is not to my taste. Moreover there is no much change in the headlamp design too. But I doubt whether it is for India? On a side note, was expecting Fiat Freemont to be out in India this year.

Re: 2013 Linea Facelift

To subtle a facelift, if you can call it that. Can feature in spot the 6 differences with its present sibling. Agree with the other members: Grill looks Old 'Verna'ish and unattractive.

Re: 2013 Linea Facelift

Its tough to change the looks of a good looking car but it would be seriously tough to change the look of a car which is already gorgeous. Linea is one such car where-in the designers would have a seriously tough time. Giving the car an all new look might not go down well with many around the globe.

Re: 2013 Linea Facelift

Honestly, I hardly see any value addition over the existing model.

Having said that, I think we must have a proper look at the car to know how well the new grill and bumper fit in. Cars with all the tape and masking can often present a diff. picture.

I'd have liked projector head-lights; they'd have brought in an altogether nice look.

Re: 2013 Linea Facelift

Why fix it, if it ain't broke?

Also, this looks so much like the old Verna. Bad bad job.

And for the Indian market at least, its not new looks that the Linea really needs. Fiat India will do well by bringing in the 1.6MJD than this facelift.

Re: 2013 Linea Facelift

What value does it give ? I mean this minor facelifts to a great looking car.
I never like Palio stile (ahead of Palio).
Original italian design age well why fiddle with it ?

I see no difference in the headlight design

Are there any changes being talked about under the skin?
There may be a little boost to the multijet and a 1.4 MultiAir engine will be added to the international lineup not sure of here.

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

Indians were very happy very earlier if the drill is changed as the new model which HM did with all those 2,3 and 4 marks. Premier also did it.
Fiat is found wanting in making the right move at the right time at least in India. More than mere cosmrtic stuff.

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

I don't see any change except the front air dam and a slightly reworked grille. And a bit of tweaking to the boot design.
The more significant changes should be under the skin, maybe bring in the MultiAir engines and also the 1.6 Multijet.

Oh no, the beautiful butt of the Linea is gone now! Fiat has simply spoiled the beauty

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

Fiat should refrain from fiddling around with the existing Linea's classic lines. The refresh does not look very appealing and in fact relegates the Linea to just another "ordinary looking sedan" .
I don't know what FIAT India's gameplan is , but keeping in mind the fact that they have not brought the facelifted Grande Punto to our shores, I don't think they will get this in too soon.

Rather they can seriously think of offering an 'auto box option for the Linea Diesel in the ACTIVE and Dynamic variants to take on the competition.

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

I've tried to unveil the new Linea by creating a speculative rendering for it.
This is what I came up with after having a good look at the spy pics.

Well, I too like the earlier one but this ain't bad either.
Has a more smooth look to it.
Expect more chrome

It looks good, may be better than the current one. It would be nice to render the new butt too.
