Well, dont know if you are recalling an Auto ad on the same lines, but there was an ad by RIN/SURF Excel against SURF Excel/RIN which was withdrawnlater on after Legal intervention.

Yep, this Ad has been in the newspapers for quite sometime. Definitely there are some changes off-late which Tata can use to it's advantage and add a few more things.
Example : - AVAILABILITY FACTOR
VISTA-Immediate OR within X days SWIFT- Not Availale (Don't know)
CHANCES OF (intentional) SABOTAGE
VISTA- No SWIFT- Possible

Guys, I had been to KHT motors, Whitefield, Bangalore yesterday to check out the new Indica Vista "Sedan Class". The top end variant is a whopping 7.43L On Road!:Shockked: I was instantly put off by this insane pricing from TATA! Even told the Sales person the same without mincing words! I understand the road tax factor being the highest (close to 95k), but still!
The one variant below however is 6.71L OTR without the airbags and alloys.
80K Discount on petrol Manza.

i10 1.2 any variant in Mumbai has 30k off +10k bundled accessories without negotiation. Pitching one dealer against the other will surely knock off 5k more in cash.
The Skoda offer sounds very tempting. I saw it in today's TOI although I think its been going on for some time. It includes: Free 3 year maintenance, 2 year roadside warranty, free 1st year insurance and 2+2 years additional warranty. All in all it must come close to a lac off right? And according to the advertisement its being offered across the range.
BTW any discounts on the new Jetta by any chance?
Received a call from a Honda dealer (Hyderabad) this evening stating that Honda is giving 1 lakh cash discount on the civic on the ex-showroom price. From a no offer Honda to so much discounts this festive season (or) have they started the stock clearance making way for the newer one in 2-3 months.

2 Yr Roadside Warranty + 1 Yr insurance + 2 Yrs Additional Warranty = Skoda Shield
Skoda Shield is worth 60-70k for Laura. Add maintenance package (don't know whats exactly covered but i am guessing regular service charges?) about 30k. So yes this is around 1L off. Add corp discount of ~20k. Total ~1.2L i guess.
Jetta nothing but corp discount of ~30-32k varying from variant to variant.
The Aria offer is not specific to Diwali , they had launched in September if i recall correctly and they have simply extended it into October.

On the Civic - In Pune, Honda Dealer is offering Insurance free + a Caska Head unit with the navigation system. I guess this probably does total up to 1 Lac.
In case this helps anyone , i just got a call from a Honda dealership informing me clearly that the discounts available on the city are expiring in a day or so - i guess stocks are clearing and they would now be waiting for the face lifted version to be launched.
In case anyone is considering seriously , best you reconfirm with the dealership you are in touch with on the timeline for the new discounts.
