Just got to know from a friend about an amazing deal offered by Mercedes in Mumbai for the E200 petrol.

Its all inclusive on the road at 34 lacs with a petrol card of 2 lacs valid for 3 years! so effectively its costing you 32 lacs!

Its a steal for a car like this and what's more this was offered on a commitment of 3 cars only. The dealer has said that to get the car at this price booking must be made before 31st Dec 2011. Delivery can be taken in the new year.

Mercedes has been advertising the E-Class version with new "COMMAND" with 3 year Zero Maintenance and 2 year Fuel costs included free. Dont know the price on that deal but assumed it to be much higher than what you mention.

The Fuel deal must be the same as above. Does this have the new command software feature? if so it should also include 3 years free maintenance as well.

Renault India has announced to increase the price of recently launched Koleos by 1 lakh rupees. Here is the news article:

Renault Koleos To Be Dearer By Rs. 1 Lakh!

When Renault India launched the Koleos in India, it was already overpriced. Now the French automaker plans to hike prices by Rs. 1 lakh citing the increase in import costs caused by depreciating rupee. The current price of the Koleos is Rs. 22.99 lakh and the new price will be Rs. 23.99 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). This price hike will be effective from 1st January, 2012. The Koleos is a CBU (completely build unit) and attracts heavy duties. Launched in September this year, the Koleos is powered by a 2.0-liter dCi diesel motor which produces 150 PS of peak power at 4000 RPM and 320 Nm of peak torque 2000 RPM. Based on the Nissan X-trail platform, the Koleos has 4-wheel drive (with 3 modes), 6 airbags, ABS, EBD and cruise control as standard.

“This has been necessitated by the increase in the cost of raw materials and fluctuations in the currency market. Until now we have been absorbing the increases, but we now have to reflect an element of these costs in our pricing. The flagship Renault Koleos with it’s outstanding levels of refinement and luxury remains excellent value for money. ^^ The city seems VFM in the lower variants but the top of the line manual and AT variants coming at 9.50 and 10.22 respectively seems overpriced as compared to the Verna! I guess The diesel will only come when the the next generation city is launched. I am sure the city will sell but the top variant may see very few takers!

That 1L difference is due to the tax difference in both the states. I don't know why the ex. showroom price is more in Chennai when Ford has their manufacturing plant there itself?!

The price list does not mention the Handling charges anywhere. Though there is a compulsory charge of rs. 500 for the High Security number plates as it has become mandatory in WB(not all parts).
