I am looking forward to the hatchback. If you people can confirm the discount available on 2011/2012 models
Not sure on the polo 1.6 but a friend of mine picked up a Fabia 1.6 after a 1.1 L discount. 5.75 OTR in Delhi without insurance.

I spoke to VW at Chennai last week, there are not offering any discount whatsoever.

I am desperately waiting for the 2012 Punto to go on discount. 90 HP MJD Emotion in Chennai.
If anybody knows anything about it, do post here.

No discounts? Doesn't the 'once in a lifetime offer' as per VW applicable to 1.6 Polo also?

Fabia 1.6 is extremely good vfm now.
But for being skoda and its awkward styling, I am more interested in Polo.
Polo 1.6 red looks smashing

The other options are Swift and Jazz petrol.
Though I bet they can't match Polo's performance

The dealers in bangalore are giving discounts on 2011 models of Polo 1.6. There's a cash discount of 50k and a corporate discount if ur eligible for it.

What a car the 1.6 is! I drove it right after the Polo 1.2 tdi and the tdi felt so lethargic in comparison.

Exactly. Even the suspension seems to be more caliberated for handling (diesel is more mature ride). Its midrange is awesome , pulls like turbo diesel
Can quote me the OTR pricing in b'lore?
50Ks off as in outright discount ?

Yes it is. The actual otr here is 7.9 lakhs, and after all discounts (cash+corporate) the otr is 7.2 for me.

re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

For Fiat Punto 1.4 Emotion, I am being given a quote of Rs. 704,229/- OTR in Pune, outside Octroi. Couple of days back I got a call from the dealer and now they are offering the insurance for Rs. 4500/- only (Rs.14512 are waived from the total insurance amount of Rs.19012/-)

Which means, the effective OTR for Punto 1.4 Emotion in Pune, outside Octroi is 689,729/-

I guess few more days and some more discounts will follow.

re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

My Agra conference (on 23rd & 24th Jan) had a VW stall at the far left of the entrance. It attracted very less attention (to be expected), but naturally I was there to enquire on offers and such.

I also got a latest proforma/invoice from them. What's interesting to see, is the price list :-

Check out the Zero Dep Insurance rates, and the Essential Fitment prices. Upon enquiry about the latter, I was told that they were mud flaps and floor mats.

Offers -

30K off all 2011 Polo petrols,
25K off all 2011 Polo diesels,

50K off all 2011 Vento petrols,
35K off all 2011 Vento diesels.

And additionally, 12K Corporate Discount on the 2011 Polos & 20K Corporate Discount on the 2011 Ventos.

re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

I spoke to VW West dealer and he said that they do not have any 2011 Polos in stock. Damn!! I think either he is not telling the truth or doesn't know the truth.

Re 2012 Polo, there are no discounts/freebies except 12k corporate discount. Here's the latest price list of Polo in Pune.

As expected the newly launched Fiesta has discount offers. It is just not moving off the showroom floors. I think this will no longer be a limited period offer. It is just a permanent offer until Ford comes out with revised pricing.

I think this ad is just for 2011 manufactured fiesta's now, but it will extend to 2012 models as well.

Are there any discounts on diesel as well? Has anyone tried to bargain at the dealer for the price of a diesel fiesta?

Kevin, did you book this at Kochi?
I went to book the same model at EVM Motors, Trivandrum and the OTR works out to 1 Lakh more!! @ Rs. 11,51,450 for the Dec 2011 model (only white and silver colours available).
After "discount" they are offering it at Rs 11,10,000
I think I need to write to Volkswagen India.
