2012 for me! Its already March and a November manufactured means a car that's parked in the garage for almost 6 months! And 30K is a small amount to prefer a 6 month old car [even if unused]! If it's me, I would ask them to get me a newly manufactured car for the same discounts.

Over optimistic ad! How many City customers do upgrade to a C-Class in today's world?

I think that its very tough for a customer to get a car / suv like safari, manufactured in the same month. Also it's 4 months old and the difference is 50,000 between 20122 and 2012 models.

Cheers!

Irish: They are getting the Safari Storme in couple of months and so the current Safari is expected to be sold at lower price once Storme is in the market. So for a 2011 model, you should bargain for more. If you ask me, you should try getting a 70,000 to 80,000 difference in the On The Road cost (from your numbers, it shows only 30,000).

However do not delay since the excise duty increase will kick-in soon (Hope the price quoted is with old cost only) and pick-up the SUV ASAP

Apologies it was my mistake.
The on road price for Safari 2012 is 11.27 lakhs. It is available for 10.77 i.e. after 50k discount. And 2012 is available for 10.27 after 1 lakh discount.

Tata Safari Ex (Pearl White) - On Road Delhi Price = Rs 11,27,000

2011 model = 1 lakh discount = Rs 10,27,500 (after discount)
2012 model = 50k discount = Rs 10,77,500 (after discount)

The price has been negotiated finally and 2011 is now available for Rs 10,22,000 on road (Delhi) i.e. with Rs 1.05 lakhs cheaper than current model's (2012) on road price. Also there is absolutely NO impact of the excise duty on this quoted price. I hope that this is the best deal which one can get in March 2012.

Considering the brand value and increase in excise duty, I don't think that TATA will sell the EX model for less than 10 lakhs (on road, Delhi) even after Storme's launch.

Cheers!

Hi. Is anyone aware of any discounts on the Audi A6 2.0 diesel. The Mumbai dealer told me maximum he can give at pre-budget prices is 2 lacs. Comes to 42 lacs then. Anyone know of any better deal?

In the past two weeks I visited the showrooms of Honda, Toyota, Skoda, Ford, Hyundai, Nissan and Maruti for my car purchase. I'm attaching the PDF copy of the price-lists of all models from the dealers in Bangalore.

I hope it is useful as a ready reckoner for someone who is considering a purchase.

Will these lists hold good after the budget? Since there is some extra taxes added, the new prices will be higher for all models right?

re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

It won't hold true post budget. As prices have been revised post 16th March. I had booked a vista on pre budget prices and took the deliver on 16th March. The price of the same model has gone up by 18k post budget. So if the price list was captured before 16th March there may be a new one out with the revised pricing. But this will still be a good indicator for car pricing for most of the manufacturers in one place. So good work done in collaborating and putting it in one place.

Checked Maruti all models, it says effective 17 Feb so its the old one. It shows on road price of Swift LDI @ 664305. I am sure that has gone up now post budget.

New prices are indeed higher but not all dealers have the revised price lists yet. The difference is about 5000 - 10000 higher than the prices shown in the PDF files.

re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

I got an email from Renault dealer in Kerala mentioning some discount schemes until 31st of March. The Koleos have a cash discount of Rs.35000, and the Fluence E2 diesel (base variant) have a discount of Rs.91000.
No discounts running on the top spec Fluence E4.

Also, a huge price hike is expected for the Fluence in April – around Rs. 110K on the E2 diesel and 24K on the E4 diesel (both on ex-showroom).

35K is pea nuts on Koleos! And the E2 is a 2011 model? That's close to 1L discount offered.

I am not sure if the discount is for 2011 model.

Edit: Just got confirmed. The discount offered is indeed for the 2011 model.

Not a typo. I am not sure if there are anything new coming into the E2 which could justify this hike.

And there is more. The road-tax on the Fluence will go up by around 60K in Kerala. Which means, come April the E2 diesel will have an overall price hike (OTR) of 1.75 lakhs for E2, and 81K for E4. Massive indeed!
