@don_carmaster - Check with the dealer on 'Extended Warranty'. Seemingly this is not available without the Skoda Shield (which in turn forces Insurance on you). BTW : 75 K is more than the 50 K offered in Hyderabad.
PN: I have a very close friend of mine who is currently breaking his head, since, his is a Corporate Lease (with a mandatory corporate Insurance option). Might be accompanying him to the Skoda dealership today to figure out a solution. The SA has promised to get him the Ext Warr though (fingers crossed).

This link talks of various "benefits" of which only 25K is a cash discount. Can anyone confirm if they have been able to get a 75K straight discount in place of these benefits in Chennai?

For Santro GL Plus - Insurance free, 13k cash discount and 3k corp discount

Spark New - 25k cash discount
Spark Old - getting 40k discount on top end model ( make may 2012 as per SE)

Beat - free insurance and 3k corp discount

Will be checking out alto 800 next.
Please guide if anything else can be added, planning to finalize a car with max budget of 4 lakhs.

you can get much more discounts on the old spark. even earlier when the new spark wasn't launched it had a discount of 50k plus accessories.
if you are reality interested in the old spark then wait till Jan and push for even more discounts.

Just booked a Rapid TDI Ambition+ model today at Vinayak cars in Bangalore. The OTR price is 10.72 lakhs, little more than 50K discount offered. I was able to get reverse parking sensor in addition to other accessories as mats and mudflaps as part of the deal.
Loan of 6.5lakhs also applied for from VW finance for a term of 4 years at a fixed rate of 8.6%.

The discounts on Skoda, VW and on FORD are much better than those reported on Linea. FIAT is the only brand, which doesnt have its own service stations. I think, THe SA's are taking you for a ride. Just try to bargain hard.
