Even I bought my bmw 3 series last month. Please ask your friend again. The figure you are quoting is wrong. The base 3 series is priced at 31 lacs ex showroom and a discount of around 3 lacs is possible. I can digest that this can vary by 50k across various dealers. But no way is it possible that a dealer is offering 7L cash discount. The earlier base variant without Xenons has a discount of around 5l. So please ask the details and post here. Which city and dealer was this? Was the car a new one or a test drive one?

Spoke with my friend. He bought it from Deutsche Motoren at the end of October (my bad). He paid 29 on the road for a non xenon base version. It was a March manufactured car. Can get more information on the deal if you need.

Thanks for the update. This makes sense now as the same car is still available for approximate the same price your friend bought it for. When I bought mine, they were offering 5l off on the non xenon base line cars.

When I enquired about Brio AT last weekend, they were offering free insurance + rear parking sensors. This was without any bargaining at all.

Just now got a call from Honda SE and he says he is willing to make the cash component 10k discount ( from original 5K) along with RSA and Extended warranty thrown in and I asked him for 15k cash discount and he said would talk to sales manager and get back so seems possible to get 15k cash discount along with insurance free and accessories and RSA & EW . I guess as Dec month comes to a close a very sweet deal can be negotiated.
