Thanks Srinivas, in Mumbai a friend of mine and myself visited two showrooms, and called a third one. None of them had a Fiesta or the Classic on display. Let alone information on discounts. 40,000 cash is really good offer, though the Linea is much better priced with the discount on it. Both cars are similar in many aspects, but on looks the Ford is a winner. The older Linea would have made a better competitor look wise.

Hi PVPal,

I guess it depends on the vehicles available with Ford and orders from dealer. In Hyderabad, trend and titanium vehicles are available with two of the dealers. Even classic vehicles are available. However, the stock yard of one dealer is filled with Ecosport which is readily available (diesel). On Linea, the offer is between 90K to 1 L , but if you bargain hard you extract upto ~1.2 or even 1.3 L. Yes, both Linea and Fiesta were similar and I had a tough time deciding between the two. Finally, ruled out the Linea (due to the minor reasons like turbo lag under 2000 RPM, wind noise from ORVMs for speeds above 100 KMPH, Stock music system isn't good compared to the one on Fiesta and of course looks).

Hi VKS,

The dealer is Fortune Ford in Tolichowki, Hyderabad. According to sales person, on Trend variants, 30 K discount is from Ford and 10 K is from dealer. On Titanium, there is no discount from Ford, only 10 K discount from dealer is available. There are two titanium variants in their stock on which they are willing to give ~40 K (on OTR) discount.

The price of 10 L includes 3rd year extended warranty and zero dep insurance. Matting, mudflaps, seat covers are offered as freebies (yet to decide whether to take the seat covers or opt for something else).

Thanks,
Srinivas.R

Its a bit confusing. So, that's 40k off on all variants right? How does it matter how of much of it is from the dealer or Ford? And, that's a steal! Good decision to pick the new Fiesta.

Here, it is just 10k off.

Hi deetjohn, you can consider as 40 K discount for Titanium if the vehicle is available with dealer, else the discount is 10 K.

Thanks,

He meant to say that there are two Titanium versions with the dealer at its stockyard, which they are giving off for 40k lesser, or else the discount will 10k for a fresh booking (to say if you are non-negotiable on things like color, date of mfg etc.)

I would have believed that Fiesta will be going for a 50k discount any which way, it's almost a non-mover in our market. Unfortunate. What's more surprising is the fact that there are Ecosports lying in the stockyard. Time for me to explore a bit.

My understanding is Ford offer will be across the country and dealer will be specific to the city, so asked the question.
Its the same 10k at Chennai from Ford.

Any idea of the deals on the Linea T-Jet? I saw a report in TOI mentioning the discounts on Linea to be in excess of 1L

Anyone has the details of the offers currently available for XUV 500? The TVS dealer in Trivandrum told me that for November, there is a 34,000 discount on Insurance, maximum 10K as Corporate bonus and another 10K as exchange bonus. Any idea whether these are correct?

Checked out the Linea T-Jet,
10.65 for the emotion OTR Mumbai- No discounts
The Diesel meanwhile has a flat 1Lac discount.

Can anyone share top end Petrol prices for City & Rapid OTR. If I am not wrong the city is 9.9 top end.

A bit surprised that the Linea exceeds that, plus no discounts at year end (so Far).

The SA did say that there was a car in the yard and he can probably arrange for a discount for that but no figures disclosed.

I think it varies from Dealer to Dealer. Thrust fiat at Moti Nagar offered 70k on linea T-jet and free insurance on punto evo whereas fiat cafe at cannaught place offered free insurance on linea but no discount on punto evo. Both of them were giving mumbo-jumbo on price rise that too in the month of November or December

The car has been finally booked after a further 10k discount. The final price is 10.75 lacs including handling and temporary registration. The permanent registration will be done in Uttarakhand where the car will be driven. Due to more discount, the car was booked in Delhi.
