Tata confirms price protection for those who booked before Jan 21

Tata Motors has announced a price hike effective from January 21, 2021. However, the company has confirmed that those customers who have booked their vehicles before this date can avail of the older pricing.

The carmaker has increased the prices of its models by up to Rs. 26,000, depending on the variant. The price hike has been the result of rising input costs and material costs of steel, precious metals and semi-conductors.

Tata Motors registered the highest ever sales in the last 33 quarters. Sales increased by 39% in FY2021 compared to the previous fiscal.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Thanks to Tata Motors for deviating from Industry standards and retaining old sticker price for existing bookings. The price hike in between the booking and delivery is always a nightmare as financing and all might be frozen already.
For instance, the price correction of New Creta E (D) has taken it to post 9.99L ex-showroom. Price is now up by 31.5k for this particular variant. Think about the changes in OTR considering the changes in tax slabs?

Any news on whether there's any price protection for prior bookings?

Dear Bhpians,
What are the offers currently on the Tiguan Allspace?

Looking to buy one in the coming weeks so was interested in what kind of discounts I can expect since as of now in Delhi they are nowhere close to what Bhpians in Hyderabad have got.

Thats the exact situation in Mumbai, infact the sales rep here at one of the dealerships suggested to get the car flat bedded from HYD dealer (PPS) & have the Registration process completed in the city, they aren't offering anywhere close to the 33/34 in Hyderabad.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Just took delivery of my Tiguan Allspace in Pyrite silver at 34 lakhs OTR in Hyderabad from MODY with 3 year SVP, and 30K of accessories included. MODY only has one vehicle as of monday, a Ruby Red Tiguan Allspace in stock and from what the dealer reckons, only 10-15 cars are left in India. PPS Hyderabad appears to have the bulk of stock but the latest invoices, even in hyderabad, are around the 35/36 lakh range.

PPS and MODY both offered a terrible dealership experience that I'll cover in a different thread, but the gist of it is, no one is in pressure to sell as dealers are done with most of their stock and are down to the last few units. The best time to have bought a Tiguan Allspace would have been in December when dealers were invoicing the cars at 28.XX ex-showroom with a 5 year SVP.

I would suggest that the maximum price you should be willing to pay would be around the 35 lakh range for the car, perhaps some out of state dealers would be willing to invoice at that much, and I believe a 3 year SVP is running from VW in January. Anything above 35 lakhs puts it close to Skoda Kodiaq territory, but many uncertainties prevail with the Kodiaq relating to pricing especially with the new Superb's pricing, the sky is the limit for Skoda. I wish you good luck with your future purchase, and happy motoring!

Similar situation in Pune. BU Bhandari has 4/5 units left and is not budging below 39.5 lacs at all. Even had trouble arranging TD after setting forth my expectations upfront.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Feel so bad for not booking a Harrier in December. Considering the cash discount of 25k which dealer was offering + 40k increase in the price. It has almost gone up by 65k for the same car?

What's a good time to buy the car in the 1st half of the year? I am tired of waiting and planning to give in.

End of month, if you want to strike a good deal when targets are very demanding for the salesman. End of year (financial) for the dealer. So March end.

Take it around 20th of March and finalize everything in a week. You can make a couple of visits to other dealers and pit them against each other.
