If they want to compete with big boys soon on pricing then they should seriously consider getting the updated version of C5 to Indian market. Nissan Kicks: Benefits of up to Rs. 1 lakh on offer

Nissan has announced year-end benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh on the Kicks SUV.



The Kicks 1.3L Turbo variant is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh, which include a cash discount of Rs. 15,000, an exchange bonus of Rs. 70,000, an online bookings bonus of Rs. 5,000 and a corporate discount of Rs. 10,000.

Customers of the Kicks 1.5L Petrol can avail of benefits of up to Rs. 45,000. It includes a cash benefit of Rs. 10,000, an exchange bonus of Rs. 20,000, an online bookings bonus of Rs. 5,000 and a corporate discount of Rs. 10,000.

This offer is valid till December 31, 2021.

Benefits of up to Rs. 1.30 lakh on Renault cars this month

Renault has announced benefits of up to Rs. 1.30 lakh on its cars as part of the year-end offers.



The Duster is being offered with the highest benefits worth Rs. 1.30 lakh. This includes a cash discount of Rs. 50,000, an exchange bonus of Rs. 50,000 and a corporate discount of Rs. 30,000. Existing Renault customers can avail of loyalty benefits worth up to Rs. 1.10 lakh.

Kiger customers can avail of benefits worth up to Rs. 20,000, including a loyalty benefit of up to Rs. 10,000 and a corporate discount of Rs. 10,000.

The carmaker is offering benefits of up to Rs. 60,000 on the MY2020 Triber and Rs. 40,000 on the MY2021 model. The latter includes a cash discount of Rs. 10,000 on the RXT variant, an exchange bonus of up to Rs. 20,000 and a corporate discount of Rs. 10,000.

The Kwid is being offered with benefits of up to Rs. 35,000. This includes a cash discount of Rs. 10,000, an exchange bonus of up to Rs. 15,000 and a corporate discount of up to Rs. 10,000.

Jeep Compass gets dearer by up to Rs. 58,000

Jeep has hiked the prices of the Compass by up to Rs. 58,000.



The price of the Sport 1.4L Petrol DCT variant has been increased by Rs. 58,000, while the Sport and Longitude (O) variant prices have gone up by Rs. 10,000. The prices of the remaining petrol and diesel variants have been increased by Rs. 50,000.

The Jeep Compass is available with two engine options, including a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 156 BHP and 250 Nm and a 2.0-litre diesel that makes 168 BHP and 350 Nm.

Both engines come with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The petrol is offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the diesel comes with an optional 9-speed automatic. All-wheel drive is available with the diesel version only.

This is clearly Tiguan 'introductory' price effect. Plus restricted supply making it sellers market now.

I hope more M&M like folks create more 700s. M&M, Tata has the opportunity to create a premium brand and create non mainstream value for money cars any day

I guess they will hike again in Jan. There is no competition. VW just blew up on the pricing for Tiguan and Stellantis cares more about Jeep than Citroen in India.
M&M and Tatas still need few years to be established and gain consumer confidence in 25L+ segment ( Anyways thats not the segment they can reap benefits in India, so they might confine themselves more towards < 20L ).
In short, Jeep will go undefended whole of 2022 at-least and those who love that car will need to pay premium.

Wow! That is a significant weight on the wallet.

I expected a price hike from all the brands from Jan. But this is another level - 50K hike for the already over-priced compass (which is actually not a true Jeep). Well done Tiguan. Your entry and so-called introductory price have made Stellantis merrier than ever.

Tata and M&M are still some time away (not long though) to command a premium for their products. While they have significantly raised their customer experience and ownership experience.

My gut feeling says that it is a combination of supply-chain challenges along with money made in stock market and liquidity. Hopefully things improve on supply mid 2022 onwards which would get buyers either good discounts on existing models or a decent pricing on upcoming ones. There is a premium even manufacturers are paying due to shortages and they are happily able to pass that to end end consumers

The Tiguan if priced around INR 28 L would have resulted in the car being available on Road below INR 35 L. But that was never expected to happen as Karooq, which was a 1.5L engine was priced around INR 24-25 L. So the pricing was more closer to INR 30 L-31L. But even if they priced it at 28L, they could not have sold volumes after XUV 700 which trades at INR 4-5 L lower than OTR price on its top trim. Compass has a product pricing starting from INR 17.5 L to 29.5L. This helps them in getting the numbers. People who want comfort and 4WD will pick the top end and if younger lot who want fun will take manual diesel/ Petrol. Hence I feel VW never stands a chance to outwit Jeep IMHO and lack of Diesel

Jeep and their dealers are on another planet altogether. Essentially, they hiked the price by 3% and are now calling out customers offering 1.5 month old "ready stock", which is essentially October manufactured frames - at a "best deal" of the year for... wait for it... the pre 3% hike price give or take..

so a "discount or special offer" is being packaged to deceive when actually there's no discount.

When I asked for December stock - dealer refused to commit. Said sorry, can''t guarantee. In fact, the gentleman was adamant that Jeep was going to take another 2% hike in January. I wished him all the best for his sales target. He was like factor it in. I responded, sure, I'll drop the Compass altogether. I STILL have that OPTION!

Questions he couldn't answer:
1. Why would anyone pay the latest prices for an October/pre-December price hike vehicle that's been sitting for 1.5 months in stock?
2. Why would a person buy an October vehicle for no discount and register it in December? Only to risk a hit on the resale value? (Dealers/buyers will factor December as a higher discounting factor when buying resale)
3. If he had October stock still lying with him, he was for sure going to be selling December stock come January/February. So unless he was serious of discounting 2021 made stock, it would still be better for a buyer to register in 2022 (kaccha pakka in dealer terminology)..

essentially Jeep and Landmark seem to be on cloud 9.

Told him about Tata and Skoda offers.. he was still adamant that they "didnt compare" to the Jeep brand
