I know you mentioned the brand was important but do also checkout the prices on the Tiguan. Loses a bit of sheen for the badge but is overall a premium offering inside out.
I am not exactly open to used cars. These are demo cars so I will be the first owner and they are just run for 3-4k km so I am okay with it.

Sept q2 had a lot of discounts, I got greedy that time and thought I should wait for year end as I was expecting prices to go down further but it didn’t and I should have booked one at that time.

Tiguan is a little too big for my liking. I test drove taigun, it didn’t really feel as Premium as the Q2 so I did not consider it further.

Totally agree, this is stupidity. Infact in Dec when I got Asta IVT, it was 2k more than Asta Turbo IMT on road. Now it’s other way around, IMT is 9k more ex-showroom and close to 1 lakh more OTR. Honestly not worth as these should be priced same. That is IMT Turbo has the premium of Turbo engine and 1.2 IVT has the premium of a proper auto gearbox.
But then I think, with Baleno being launched they cannot increase IVT price as it will find very few takers. Turbo does not have direct competition in Baleno.

I can see the value in getting great discounts for the demo car. But in the case of Q2 it was extremely overpriced to be honest. It's a segment below the X1/Xc40/GLA/Q3 and the Q2 should have been proved at what you are getting at or a bit lower. I would pay similar amount for maybe a X1 demo. I understand the badge value but maybe getting a X1 size car would feel more value when spending north of 30. My main gripe with the Q2 as mentioned is that it should have been priced what you are paying for the 5k run demo.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

I am getting Jeep compass in this coming week, and when I got the photos of the vehicle which is already at the dealer, i find that they have already removed the clear plastic seat covers. Upon asking why they have removed it, they are giving a not so convincing explanation that this is their usual practice while doing PDI.

Can anybody give their experience on the same.

TIA

Congratulations and happy miles!

Nothing to be worried about this and is a practice across brands before delivery. Even if they don't remove i suggest they be removed before delivery as it is safety hazard.

Please go with Team-Bhp's checklist and check if everything is in order. If it is then need not worry about plastic covers stripped off the seats.

If the car has ventilated seats they generally remove the plastic cover to check if the ventilation function is working or not
If all the other things are clean then there is no need to worry

Look at BMW X1. It is expensive on paper, but when you sit and negotiate, you can get it at a reasonable price. Mid 40s.
Corporate + finance + exchange (on any car) + BMW discount etc.
Plus I've heard even the entry level Petrol Sport X variant is available with dealers now, whereas earlier all of them had the xLine.
I was also close to buying the Q2 at one point of time. It drove better than A4, because of the small dimensions and Quattro system. But the CBU nature of the vehicle means you'll find it hard to sell later, or even repair in the short term. I know Audi cars are severely reliable, but one never knows.
I honestly love how the car looks, contrary to popular beliefs. But overall if you can manage to go extra, go for X1. There is no regret in that.

Thats a much better deal. I would just ask around for lets a demo A4/X1/GLA/XC40 if they can be squeezed around this price. If you can find any of these cars in the luxury segment, they will be great, otherwise the Q2 will give the badge value as well.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Hi Fellow BHPins,

Any discount(s) on Taigun 1.5 GT+ (DSG) ? The dealer in Pune told me there are no discounts on this variant, and having only one dealer in Pune is not helping.

On the positive side, I will get foldable ORVM and the updated roof liner(which is similar to virtus and 10x better than the original one).

I am planning to get the Hi5 service package and 2 years of extended warranty.
