What are these jokers upto? It’s hardly a month after a launch and the already over priced hybrid is getting another hike! The manufacturers are cashing in on the chip shortage and pricing cars exhorbitantly, this is not gonna end nicely for some party. Hope it’s not us, the taxpayers!

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

So the price so far was what? "Introductory"? Or someone in the AC offices made a calculation mistake while finalizing the margin and final sticker price of the Hybrid? This is not funny, its laughable!

Every step they take, every news about them - only helps amplify the rumours and speculations about Honda calling it quits. 39K is a huge price hike. Almost making it easy for people to drop the car from their lists.

As frustrating as it gets. Been waiting for them to deliver the Red variant. Pre-booked the car in April and have no price protection either.

I was thinking only about the folks who were waiting for the red one. When I checked with Honda here in Bangalore couple of weeks back, they said they had delivered only one red color car since the launch. And no price protection for folks who booked just after the launch even before the price announcement is seriously disappointing.

Honda is shooting themselves in the foot with this price increase and their absolutely pathetic showroom experience shows their disinterest in selling this car. I went in to book the City Hybrid last week and the sales people laughed at my face and were least interested in selling me the car even saying that I should buy a Petrol Manual variant.

The ehev old price of 19.49 L ( ex showroom) was mentioned as introductory only during the launch. But the hike happened too early to accept. Honda should have given atleast 6 months gap before this hike.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Hi all,
I am almost finalised on Swift ZXI AMT as second car and the showrooms in Hyderabad are quoting a discount of 20k along with corporate discount of 4K. I further insisted for discounts and they said they will give some free accessories which I’ll be discussing what are those they are offering. Meanwhile is there a better discount or bargain that is running that any aware of and also will there be better discounts during upcoming days as festive season is round the corner? Thanks.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Hi Team, Is it advisable to take a delivery of car which is more than a month old. Sales person is saying car is manufactured in July and it is in their stock yard. More details like No of KMs run and VIN are yet to be shared. I will do PDI before paying the full amount. But need experts advice, is it ok to buy a car which is lying in their stockyard for more than a month with less than 100 KMs run. Thanks.

Starting from the day the car was manufactured, the car reaches your city in a month, considering the allotment, transport of cars on highway trucks at 30-40 kmph.. it would take around a month to reach roughly.

So, the car in discussion is pretty good. you can blindly go for it, if it passes your PDI. Good luck!

I’m considering the Jeep Compass Diesel Limited variant. Both dealers in Bangalore are offering a corporate discount of Rs.30,000, plus they are ready to waive off the handling charges of 10,000. Overall discounts to the tune of around 40k. Is this in line with what others are seeing? There is also an exchange bonus of around 50k, but the issue is that the dealers anyway quote low for the used car, so its not a great benefit that way.

One month is perfectly ok time. As you said, you will be doing PDI anyways along with checking VIN and other details. Also, check the km readings. It should be less than 50kms ideally if it hasn’t left stockyard. However, if they can explain and rest of the stuff is fine, just go with it .
