The actual reason for the price "drop" is due to dropping of all door auto up/down feature with anti-pinch function in all variants except the X-Line. also they have dropped the all door power window voice control feature. Talk about " movement that inspires" , Kia seems to be moving backwards

It is, because we now know that Kia has removed a feature that may be vital to some folks considering this, and highlights cost-cutting measures taken by companies charging nearly 25L for their products. Otherwise yes, 2k is insignificant.

KIA should have not reduced this much in a single go, they could have reduced ₹200 every week for next 10 days instead of shocking us. They can arrange a press meet along side and also put front page ads. You go to buy a mobile phone and without much hassle, one can get ₹2000 off. These morons are living in a parallel universe I guess. The one who signed this price cut should be fired, this news itself will result in more bad press and less sales instead of what was intended.

Maruti Suzuki to hike car prices from January 2024

Maruti Suzuki has announced that it plans to increase the prices of cars from January 2024.



In a BSE filing, the carmaker stated, “The Company has planned to increase the prices of its cars in January 2024 on account of increased cost pressure driven by overall inflation and increased commodity prices. While the company makes maximum efforts to reduce cost and offset the increase, it may have to pass on some increase to the market.”

The statement doesn’t mention the exact quantum of the price hike though. Maruti had hiked the prices of its model by an average of 1.1% at the beginning of this year.

Another carmaker that has also announced a price hike from January 2024 is Audi India. The luxury carmaker will be increasing the prices of its cars by 2%.

So effectively there is a price cut of 2lacs on the ex showroom price itself.
