The 2023 models are probably out of stock now though.

As of 2 weeks ago, I had enquired about 1L top models of Virtus and Slavia in Gurgaon. Virtus had 1.7L off and Slavia has about 30k thereabouts. Nothing substantial on the 1.5 DSG variants. Probably worth waiting until Diwali, my friend scored 1.8L off on a Taigun 1.0 Topline AT last Diwali.
Those were all official discount available from company. I was getting them from all NCR showrooms. It was mainly for 2023 1.5 DSG Ambition model with 2 airbags. On-road price of 15.7 lakhs in UP with 5th yr warranty and 3 yrs of free service. That deal was available in June but in May you could have gotten even 1 lakh more discount if you booked it from their website on 23rd May. Now all of the 2023 stock has been cleared in NCR. I was getting 2 lakh discount on Virtus GT plus from a Haryana showroom last month for 23 stock.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Does anyone know of discounts being offered on Taigun/Kushaq amongst dealers in Bengaluru?

I did glance at an article that mentioned substantial discounts for the Taigun (something like Rs. 2.4L on MY2023 stock - can they still have such old pieces on hand?) but can't find the article now.

MG Gloster MY2023 is being offered with 5.5L cash discount+1L exchange bonus, whereas the MY2024 models are being offered with 4.5L cash discount+1L exchange bonus.

With this discount you can get a MY2023 Gloster Top model for ₹43.5L viz very much VFM.

Given the kind of discounts we're seeing, it's unbelievable what margins these dealers minted until now!

Wrong!

These discounts are offered with a large portion contributed by the company. Mostly 80% to 90%. The margins with dealers is very very low. Almost the entire industry works on 2 to 3% margins. Sometimes just above 3% in cases where the products or the companies are struggling.

It is not for nothing that you see dealerships closing so frequently due to financial problems. One needs high volumes and high service volumes to sustain in this industry!

Got a discount of 77.5 K and an additional discount of 9 k on accessories from the quote attached here and got the dealer to match Insurance quote which was 3k lower than their quote for IGNIS Zeta AMT.

Just wanted to mention here that ex-showroom discount should not result in a discount in RTO charges. That will always be calculated on original ex-showroom. Otherwise it is extremely likely that a notice will be received from the RTO later for paying penalties. This has been reported by other BHPians before on other threads.

Yes. That was mentioned by the Toyota showroom people when I asked for Ex-showroom price discount.
My reply was given me ex-showroom price discount, use ex-showroom company price for RTO and then Insurance will be on the arrived amount thereafter.
The Toyota people didn't agree with me. They insisted that discount is on OTR price. I think each dealer has his own way of managing these discounts

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

I saw some good discounts in August on Skoda cars both Kushaq and Slavia. I liked Slavia (1.0 Signature AT variant) more so I asked for discounts. I am getting a 2023 model in Rs 14.90 L on road in Rajasthan. And 16.10 L on road for MY2024. The condition of 2023 model is also good (12km on ODO) but it has 2 airbags and 8inch screen. What should I do?

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

cars24explore - Think of it from long term perspective. After couple of years, would you feel that you should spent that lakh as you would have gotten a better product. Lot of time when we are very close to buying something exciting, we start to make little little compromises, which in long run don't yield good result. Unless there is a monetary pressure, or you think that there will be limited use of the car (as it can a secondary car etc.), better to spend little extra for the feel good. After all you are paying so much for an experience and not just the utility. Think long term!

I think that's a good deal. There's a huge price disparity between the price you mentioned and the quotation from the local Skoda dealer in Goa.

The other day the local skoda dealer sent me the following quote for 2024 Slavia 1.0 Signature AT.
Ex-showroom : 15,09,000
TCS @1% : 15,090
Insurance. : 50,867
Fastag. : 600
Accsry Kit. : 10,199
Registration : 2,05,059

Total. : 17,90,815

That is close to INR 18 L
So, you are getting a 2023 model for a whopping discount of 3 L.
If you like the car and satisfied with it's features, then go for it.

I asked the local Skoda dealer if he could give me some discount. He said, the older stocks are sold out and no discount as of now on new cars, except some token amount.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Hyundai is offering discounts on Alcazar, ranging from 2 lakhs for petrol variants to 3 lakhs for the diesel variants in Bangalore. This was shared just over a phone call, and they are ready to negotiate more once we finalize and do the booking. All are 2024 models.

Guess the Alcazar facelift is around the corner and hence the rush to clear inventories
