Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Hi,

any year end offers on the Skoda twins? Did not get anything substantial from Jai Skoda, Gurgaon. In fact, they were quite lukewarm and did not seem too interested in making the sale.

Regards

I was checking the same in Bangalore, the Skoda people offered me a 15k discount on the showroom price for the Slavia/ Kushaq prestige models.

My colleague was able to get a Taigun GT Plus Sport 1.5L TSI DSG in bangalore last month for 18.05 lakhs ex-showroom, thats a huge 1.7 lakhs of discount!

Does anyone know if Mahindra is providing any year end discounts on XUV 700 AX7 model in Bangalore? And what is the current wait time for AX7?

Mahindra is offering year-end discounts of up to Rs 3.06 lakh on the Thar this month.

The 2WD variants of the Thar are offered with a discount of up to Rs 1.31 lakh. While the petrol 2WD trims get the highest benefits, the diesel 2WD variants are available with a discount of Rs 56,000.

The Thar 4WD is available with benefits of up to Rs 1.06 lakh. However, it’s the Thar Earth Edition, which gets the highest benefits of Rs 3.06 lakh.

The Earth Edition was launched in February this year. It is based on the top-spec LX hard top trim and comes in the Desert Fury exterior colour with a satin matte finish.

The Earth Edition is available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 150 BHP and 300-320 Nm and a 2.2-litre diesel that puts out 130 BHP and 300 Nm. Both engines are paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Are you looking for AX7 only or Is AX7L also in your shortlist?

AX7 and AX7L variants have wait time of about 8 weeks officially, but I have seen orders getting fulfilled in 6 weeks from date of booking in Hyderabad.

Hyderbad dealers are not providing any additional discount for MY24 AX7/AX7L variants on top of discounts from Mahindra. The only other discount they were willing to give me was on overinflated insurance. Dealer quotes insurance close to ₹1lakh while quote from outside was ₹50k lesser.
Most likely these cars would be sitting at dealer stockyard for 2+ months.

One salesperson told me that new stock would only arrive after 15th January. If you are not set on specific color, then you can get some discount as December 31st gets near.

Tata Motors announces a price hike of up to 3% from Jan 2025

Tata Motors has announced that it plans to increase the prices of its models by up to 3%. The revised prices will be effective from January 2025.

The price increase will vary depending on the model and variant. Tata’s electric vehicle portfolio will also see a price hike in the new year.

According to the company, prices are being increased to partially offset the rise in input costs and inflation. That being said, Tata Motors isn’t the only carmaker to announce a price hike.

Prices of Maruti Suzuki cars are set to go up by up to 4% from January 1, 2025. Hyundai also plans to increase prices across its model range by up to Rs 25,000.

Kia India to hike prices by up to 2% from January 2025

Kia has announced that it plans to increase the prices of its models by up to 2%. The revised prices will be effective from January 1, 2025.

According to Kia, the price hike was necessitated by the persistent rise in commodity prices, unfavourable exchange rates and increased input costs. Despite these challenges, the company is absorbing a significant portion of the cost increase.

Kia currently offers a wide range of products in the Indian market. These include the Sonet, Seltos, Carens, and Carnival. The carmaker is now gearing up to debut yet another SUV, the Syros.

Kia also offers two pure-electric models in India. These include the EV6 and the flagship electric SUV, the EV9.

How are these manufacturers are able to increase the cost when the previous lot is not sold yet? As per last months data, in total 7 Lakh cars were unsold.

They will increase the price from January 2025 and give a discount on the increased price to MY 2024 models. So you take in one hand and give it back from another hand, essentially the price remains almost same for MY2024 models as it was pre Jan 25..

See, Maruti announced a 4% hike in prices from January. So, for a Rs 15L car, the hike is Rs 60K.
They will offer 60K discount on MY 2024 models thereafter.. People will buy because the car is now Rs 60K cheaper than 2025 sold cars.

There are good offers going on Maruti Suzuki. I recently bought Fronx Sigma 1.2 petrol for 7.78 on-road Delhi (i.e. 60k cash discount, without any exchange). If someone has good skills, then they can negotiate further.

Skoda is having an online booking sale today and tomorrow.

1. Kodiaq is available with 5.95 lakh discount, which is excellent value if you are looking for a car in that range or size. Only available in white in Bangalore, though.

2. Kushaq 1.0 Prestige Manual is available with 2.3 lakh discount. Other 1.0 TSI options have around 2 lakh discount, but no offer on 1.5. if somebody is looking for 1.0 Manual, good deals overall.

Any idea how long does it actually take for delivery once booked online?

From whatever i have learnt, it takes 10 days to reach your place plus couple of days for registration, delivery. I am talking about Chennai. For nearby places to the plant, it could be even sooner

Booked the Slavia on this offer today. The dealer selected was PPS Skoda in new airport road, Bangalore. Regarding the delivery timeline, the dealer promised to deliver it before Christmas. As per the SA, the transit of the car from the Skoda plant to the dealer stockyard takes around 7 ~ 10 days.

Aside to this, received the VIN number, via mail immediately after booking online. Its a July manufactured car.

Off topic -

Is this normal, Slavia doing consistently 1000+ numbers since June (except July), to get a car manufactured 4 months prior.

Was the online booking bonanza to clear of such inventories? As long as the PDI is thorough it should be ok though.

When I had booked Linea even I got a 4 month old manufactured car, but I knew that it was a slow mover and was prepared for that.
