I was in the market to buy an automatic car (TC preferred) within 15~20 lakhs budget. Beginning of this month, visited the Skoda dealer to check the variants. Booked the Sportline variant because at that time the Signature variant (which is currently offered with a discount of 2.2 Lakhs with additional two years’ worth SMP package) did not make much sense as the price difference between Sportline and Signature variant was just 6k ex-Showroom. And for the that 6k, we could get LED headlamps, Connected app feature, Glossy black exterior with chrome garnish and Sunroof (not keen on this).

Even at the time of booking, I just thought to myself that no one in their right mind would buy Signature variant unless they hate sunroof so much. Assumed it will end up being a slow mover.

So, when Skoda offered discounts only for signature variant, it made sense. For the discounted price, this variant now is a VFM proportion. And I too am not particularly fond of the sunroof. Hence cancelled the previous booking and booked online.

And yes, have informed the dealer that any further payment will only be released after PDI.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

Hi guys, is anyone waiting to take delivery of a Fortuner this month?

I had a booking with a dealer in Jaipur before Diwali, 22-Oct-24 to be precise, I was assured the car will be delivered by 15th of December but 3 days ago, the GM called saying they haven’t received the allocation of any 4X4 AT car, he went on to the extent of saying that no dealer in Rajasthan has a 4X4 AT allocation for the month of December.

A few calls proved his latter statement to be false.

I'm now caught in a dilemma if I should get a 2024 model year car or wait another month for a 2025 model year.

What are the discounts that you all are being offered on the Fortuner for December?

My specification is Attitude black 4X4 AT with Chamois interior. Which as far as I can sense, is a very limited production spec and supply isn't able to meet the demand.

Forget a discount - you will be lucky to get floor mats - I have the 4x4 with chamois interiors and yes the production is 1/10th of the demand - they keep churning white 4x2 with black interiors

the max you can get a discount anytime of the year is on accessories which cost a bomb nevertheless in the fortuners case.

You can negotiate on the insurance as well if you have a good relationship with the dealer - in my case I was allowed to get an insurance from an outside vendor and that made a massive difference.

And to answer your question there are loads of known people in my circle taking deliveries of a lot of cars in December from toyota without any discounts and that goes for the Thar Roxx also

In Gurgaon Legender is being offered with a 2.5 L discount and some rebate on Insurance
4x4 AT discount will depend on stock with dealer- but a lakh is easily doable.

My petrol AT was on order by teh dealer, that too in pearl white, which is a fast moving piece, yet I managed a 65k discount

Discounts on fortunes are happening. We just need to persevere with the dealer.

Hi vkochar, thanks for this. As of today, I have been negotiating with Toyota dealers for a month and a half, 2 times I have been confirmed a car by Galaxy, with 2L of discount, which includes a 50K discount by Toyota for the fortuner and a 30K discount because I own a camry. Plus as you mentioned, other discounts come from a lower insurance quote and accessories.

But your post helps me put things in perspective.

Hi Himanshu, 2L is what a lot of dealers are offering, 80K from Toyota and the rest by adjusting value on the insurance and accessory.

I am just waiting for a miracle to happen at this moment, where I can find a car to my specific requirement. Have gotten calls for a 4X4 AT in Super white by many dealers who probably want to move their inventory before the year ends.

Galaxy Toyota however, remains the most mysterious dealer, 2 of their Sales people confirmed they have a car in my spec in stock, and just when we are about to make a payment, they call to say its been booked/sold.

Their commitment was the reason we let go of a car from Gujrat, with a better discount. The only downside with that car was, the interior was Black.

Hi, is the dealer galaxy shalimar bagh? If yes then they are very cunning and will give you false timelines. Please beware of them.

Slavia Prestige 1.0 MT ex-showroom price is ₹15.99 lakh and on-road price in Telangana is around ₹19.4 lakh.
₹2.55 lakh discount makes the on-road price ₹16.9 lakh. This is very lucrative deal as cars costing about ₹13.7 lakh ex-showroom cost about ₹17 lakh on-road in Telangana.
You get a full-sized sedan at the price of mid spec sub 4m CSUV.

What is cancellation procedure for bookings done online in case car fails in PDI?
Will the dealer refund entire ₹20k back or deduct some amount and give back rest of booking amount?

As per the official terms and conditions page of this offer, which you can view before making the payment, it’s possible to get 100% refund only if the customer cancels the booking within 72 hours. In all other cases its understood that the customer forfeits the 20k amount in case he doesn't process further.

It depends on how you would like to place your bets. I was scouting for offers on Slavia AT cars across multiple dealers in Blore. Not one offered any major discounts, let alone a 2.2L cash discount. Had the vehicle been in their stockyards since July, I am sure they would have offered decent discounts to try and make a sale.
So, I believe that the car is coming straight from the plant and was not lying idle in dealership stockyards.

Now coming to the question of what happens if the PDI fails, I shall reject that particular car but not reject the model or the dealer. I would still look for another Slavia from the same dealer. I am sure even the dealer would offer some work around to ensure the sale is made.

According to v3cars, Skoda Superb is available at a total discount of 19 lakhs (18 lakhs + 1 lakh on lease). This is a superb deal is someone is looking for Skoda Superb!

On a side note, all those who bought at 54 lakhs ex-showroom, this is cheating on Skoda's end

Still costs 50L+ OTR. Don’t think it’ll have many takers?

Getting best deal of 21.05 lakhs virtus gt plus sports dsg includes 4 years svp, 2 years extended warranty and accessories for black color, is it a good deal? This is for registration in rajkot gujarat, dealer says no major discount on the enquired model and supply also short for black color.

Let me know if you want my SA's contact at IJM Toyota. I can put in a word if you want.

Re: The "NEW" Car Price Check Thread - Track Price Changes, Discounts, Offers & Deals

I wanted to take the opinion of the house regarding the deal given to me by a dealer on Creta N-line N10 DCT.
This particular car is a July, 24 manufactured model. The dealership offered about Rs 60,000 in discount (50,000 in cash discount and 10,000 off on extended warranty)
Upon inspection, it had a few swirl marks on the paint and a very small dent on the rear passenger door. When I pointed this out, they gladly changed the door from another car.

Is this a good deal? Or should I let it go for a newer model considering that prices of the new model year creta will be hiked by about 40,000.
Thanks in advance.

Negotiate for a few tens of thousands more, upto a lac or so and take it. It's fast and fairly driver centric for an SUV, if you like that sort of thing, besides being very well loaded.
