Even after the price cut MG ZS ev continues to be expensive. Interesting though is having so many variants in a tight 2.5 lk band. Which means it's impossible to provide discount without killing a variant. They should reduce the prices of lower variants even further to keep the car relevant. As for me i am keeping away from electric vehicles.

I think the main reason for these price hikes is an absence of a tight competitor in the scene (like Ford endeavour) , now the Toyota has a monopoly in that segment. Their market their rules.

Maruti Grand Vitara Hybrid offered with up to Rs 1.7 lakh discount

This month, Maruti Suzuki dealers are offering massive discounts on the strong-hybrid variants of the Grand Vitara.



According to a media report, dealers are offering a discount of up to Rs 1.70 lakh on the MY2024 Grand Vitara hybrid. This includes a cash discount of Rs 70,000, an extended warranty worth up to Rs 35,000, and a scrappage bonus of up to Rs 65,000.

The non-hybrid variants of the MY2024 Grand Vitara are available with benefits worth Rs 1.50 lakh, while CNG variants are being offered with a discount of Rs 20,000.

There are attractive offers on the MY2025 Grand Vitara as well. As per reports, the strong-hybrid variants are available with benefits of up to Rs 1.30 lakh. Petrol variants get discounts of up to Rs 1.10 lakh. Customers can also avail of free accessories worth up to Rs 41,000.

I am in the process of booking Glanza S AMT as my first car. I have been offered a good price courtesy of the ongoing official discounts on the Glanza. MG announces a price hike of up to 1.5% from July

JSW MG Motor India has announced a price hike of up to 1.5% across its model range. The revised prices will be effective from July 1, 2025.



According to the company, the price revision is being done to mitigate the impact of rising input costs and other macroeconomic factors. The price increase will vary as per the model and variant.

MG currently offers three models each of pure electric and ICE models. Earlier this month, the carmaker had slashed the prices of the ZS EV by up to Rs 4.44 lakh as part of its 6th anniversary celebrations.

Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line offered with a Rs 3 lakh discount!

It’s been close to three months since Volkswagen launched the sporty Tiguan R-Line in India, and already, the SUV is being offered with a discount.



According to a media report, VW is offering benefits of up to Rs 3 lakh on the Tiguan R-Line. This includes a flat cash discount of Rs 2 lakh.

The Tiguan R-Line was launched at Rs 49 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is imported into the country via the CBU route. The latest offer brings this price down to Rs 47 lakh.

The Tiguan R-Line is offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 201 BHP and 320 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and VW’s 4Motion all-wheel drive system.

VW is also offering benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh on the Virtus and Taigun, respectively.

Although item discounts are expected in a competitive market, this came tad too early. VW should have instead applied some sense during launch time itself and priced it sensibly to begin with.

They are gonna get in some additional sales, but I doubt, it would be at the expense of setting a bad trend for their brand value.

Nevertheless, they dont have an option now I guess.

I am expecting the discount levels to go upto 5 lakhs few months down the line, considering weak demand and VWs urge to clear the stocks. Prospective buyers should wait & watch.
