re: Fiat Caffe site :-) - EDIT: Now open in Delhi!

Umm, am I the only one who wishes they'd kept tools next to that lavazza section, and done a Maruti Service Masters (Maruti owned workshop) type setup to actually deliver a quality service experience to the customer?

Because lollipops can't trump customer service.

/my own brother, whose selling off his indica shortly, didn't even consider the punto for one second because of the Tata(Fiat) service experience. Nor will I. Because there's still no assurance of customer service.
//I would wish them much more luck and success with the Fiat-only service center to be opened by Oberoi Motors. Now that would be exciting and win back folks to the fold.

Although this is a brilliant effort , but FIAT selling coffee wont make buyers want to buy your car !!

Instead of launching Fiat Cafe , why not launch Independent Fiat Workshops and Showroom!!

I know this is a nice way of promoting the brand , but however after a few couple of months , when the craze and the euphoria fade away , i dont know for what the Fiat Caffe will be used other than selling coffee.

re: Fiat Caffe site :-) - EDIT: Now open in Delhi!

That's a nice initiative. I think it is FIAT Spa itself that is putting money in it. right ? I am skeptical as to how many private dealerships will put in money for this kind of experience given the numbers that FIAT is doing now.

And don't mean to nitpicking but there are few very obvious spelling mistakes etc in the site. Quality Control FIAT!! Quality Control. Don't be like TATA now.
Kinda reminds me of Tata Annual report with Mahindra Maxximo in it.

Is this an industry first ? Waiting to see how it all develops.

I think the website is under testing phase. The images are loading too slow and in certain places - caffe 360, it is not even loading. But the concept seems to be good. Now I understand why the Sales guy in Corcorde did not show any interest when we went to check out punto for my friend.

re: Fiat Caffe site :-) - EDIT: Now open in Delhi!

Guys, the soft launch of the cafe has happened and the official launch will be on Jan3 along with the launch of the new Linea and Punto.

Some info on the cafe:

First cafe is in Delhi and the second one in Pune. Ever cafe is gonna have one showroom manager, one test drive manager, two sales advisers and two hostess.

Plans in 2012

1. FIAT Caffe
2. Separate service stations
3. FIAT car's not to be showcased in TATA showrooms
4. No new models in 2012 except launch of JEEP
5. Maserati to be sold in FIAT showrooms globally.

Let's see on how things go on for FIAT in 2012

I dont think fiat caffe is aimed at being a all out sales outlet for Fiat but more like a branding initiative. There is no argument that most of the fiat owners would want Fiat to start off with their own sales outlet/service.

The reason why concorde did not show interest is not the fiat caffe but its just the culture of fiat/tata dealerships or the attitude of the sales guy or the guy you approached could be a disgruntled employee or could be just random.
The Fiat India chief said they would not need any Fiat only service/sales since they already have Fiat/Tata combined dealerships in India.

Needs to be seen how much brand equity this initiative is gonna build.

re: Fiat Caffe site :-) - EDIT: Now open in Delhi!

The site is typical Fiat; so many bugs.
Try to register a grievance, Chassis Number is not a mandatory field, but pop-up comes up when you leave it blank.

Can't they get anything right ?

re: Fiat Caffe site :-) - EDIT: Now open in Delhi!

This is awesome. I saw one on North Main road koregaon park in Pune. I was a Suzuki Swift DDiS owner and now completely owned by my new Punto MJD. The only thing missing is the Swift's 0-100 take off and M.A.S.S. Otherwise punto is superior in all other arguments.

Regards,
Sameer.
