re: Fiat Caffe site :-) - EDIT: Now open in Delhi!

Fiat scene in India is getting exciting none other than the end part of movie -Terminator II.

Now its a 4th attempt of Fiat to take onto the Indian car market,
but to make their cars succeed still they need to learn the famous saying the movie by Aamir Khan,'Kaabil bano, kaamyaabi khud tumhare peeche aayegi'.

So, rather than doing these marketing tricks, first Try to get the basics right.

Can you please enlighten me on the basics, what you are talking about?

The major problem with Fiat currently as such is the perception/apprehension people have about Fiat. They need to break that and build the brand. Caffe is one such exercise.

re: Fiat Caffe site :-) - EDIT: Now open in Delhi!

Would they offer free coffee for the existing Fiat owners? After all, I am seeing so many fans (not only in TBHP, but everywhere) but very few owners.

While I have some apprehensions about this novel concept, this is far, far better than doing nothing. However, chances are, many (educated but...) will come under the impression that Fiat has stopped making cars and started selling coffee instead.

Perhaps their fav movie is The Terminator (the first one that is). Remember the famous machinetalk? "I'll be back".

Found this video of the Fiat Caffe in Delhi. Not the highest quality of footage but it gives a good tour of the Caffe! Looks Neat!

Brand building is the need of the hour for FIAT in India and they are indeed going in the right direction.

Its the overall Product Quality, Fit-Finish, Reliability as per Product point of view.
& Proper availability of Spares with Service experts at hand in TASCs.
As currently the scene is that dumb to dumb local mechanics are mostly seen as employed workers at TASCs.
I'm Sorry if I got a bit harsh in my words here.

No. Not at all. You are not harsh .

While I can agree on the reliability factor, Product quality and Fit-finish is still better than some of the Japanese manufacturers.

For your information, at TASC, they have two teams of mechanics. One team is the dedicated and trained team for Fiat vehicles. They don't get into Tata and Tata mechanics don't get involved with the Fiat vehicles. My take is that if A.S.S is the real problem, Tata shouldn't be selling 10K+ Indicas and 5k+ Indigos with those dumb mechanics at the TASC .

re: Fiat Caffe site :-) - EDIT: Now open in Delhi!

Did anyone notice the headlights of the Punto in this page?
Fiat Caffe
Is this part of the minor facelift, that the Indian Punto will be getting in 2012?
It even has different door handles.

The headlamps do look different though IMO not better. Same can be said about the alloys. I hope they have worked on getting the interiors right. After all that is where the end users spend most of their time.

Yes, it's the Bravo.
Just checked in the FIAT global site.

So, that confirms that the current Punto is a better 'looker' than the much costlier Bravo.

re: Fiat Caffe site :-) - EDIT: Now open in Delhi!

Along with these brand caffes, Fiat should also look at expanding their product portfolio in India. Currently they have only two models in their line-up. (500 doesn't really count as its a super-niche product)

The new Panda seems ideal for our market. It will attract different customers than the Punto and the Linea. The Bravo too will be interesting, if they can keep the price rational.
